"And down goes Matthews. NC State cannot catch a break this season," The commenter speaks.

"It looks like she's holding her left knee and shaking her head. This does not look good for Wes Moore," another comments.

"Matthews! Locker room. Now," Coach Wes yelled from across the gym. 'What could I have done this time' I wondered. Wes Moore does not like me, at all. No clue as to why though. I was the number 1 player of the graduating class of 2020 beating out Paige Bueckers and my one of my best friends, Caitlin Clark. I work hard at practice, I don't complain, and I get shit done on and off the court. Only 2 other freshmen committed to NCSU this year so that might be another reason to why. Emma Taylor was the 8th overall and is a bitch. Does she piss me off, yes. Does she blame most of her wrong doings on me, yes. Is she coach Moores favorite, yes.

"Hey coach! You needed me?" I peaked into his office.

"Sit down Matthews" He was sitting at his locker room desk. The desk had an arrangement of different contracts, letters, and other important papers. It looked so...professional.

"You're done. After this game today, you are no longer allowed to attend practices or game, ect as a player anymore. Your performances in games needed to stopped and help pave the way for, better players, like Miss Emma," His words are harsh and unreal.

"You call scoring 20 plus points a game along with being one of the best defensive players in the entire country, 'needing to be stopped'? If you ask me sir, that's kind of ridiculous," I laughed softly, running a hand through my hair.

I was stressed the fuck out to say the least. What would I tell my roommate? What would I tell my parents? They would be so fucking disappointed. My brother is star athlete and I was but now it was all changing. I was definitely overthinking everything but could you blame me?

"It's not ridiculous Kiarra. It's facts. You will be able to ride the bus back with us but when we get home, you're expected to move out of the athletic dorms. Your keys and keycards can be turned into the front desk. You are not to speak out against the program either, unless you'd like a lawsuit," He smirked.

Fucking sicking.

That smirk alone made my stomach want to tear itself apart. "So, I'm just, done? Like that? Because you want a fucking daddies money babydoll to play for you? She already does! You just don't play her!" I started raising my voice. I was so mad but coach just laughed. I gave him one last glare and sprinted out of the locker room.

"Kiki? What's wrong babe?" Kiley asked. Kiley Harris was my roommate and coparent to our pet fish, Toni Remington Harris-Matthews. Love that damn fish.
