ONE WEEK LATER"There's a couple of release forms we've got to sign," David explains as he, Buddy, Bonnie, Dom, and Jakob walk down the stairs to where Jack's stuff and car is. "Few clearances."
"Everything else is down there around the corner," Buddy says as he points it out before he follows after David.
Bonnie and Dom follow Buddy and David while Jakob stops to look around before Jakob spots Linder walking over to Jack's car.
"Hey. Nobody's supposed to be around here," Jakob says as he walks over while Linder uncovers the burned car.
"You Toretto's other son? You're the useless one, right?" Linder questions as he points at Jakob, who grabs a wrench from a nearby tool chest. "What is that?"
"Get out of here. Go," Jakob says as he motions for Linder to leave.
"So a man can't pay his last respects?" Linder asks as he points at the wrench. "That's what that is?"
"No. No, not you. You're the one that killed him," Jakob answers him as he shakes his head.
"No, racing killed him," Linder argues with him. "Look, he knew that I was gonna pit him into the wall. He knew that. Now, I don't know if he dropped gear. I don't know."
"I swear... I swear to God, if you don't get out of here..." Jakob threatens as he walks towards Linder.
"What? What?" Linder asks as he challenges him before Dom rushes over, grabbing Jakob's arm.
"Go find Buddy and my dad," Bonnie orders as Dom takes the wrench from Jakob.
"Now!" Dom orders with a raised voice.
"All right, well, now we got the golden boy and the manager's daughter," Linder says with a chuckle as Jakob walks off before Dom turns to face Linder.
"Leave," Dom tells him, causing Linder to nod his head.
"You here to make threats, too?" Linder asks as he motions to the wrench.
"Leave is a simple word," Bonnie tells him with a slight shrug as she stands beside Dom before crossing her arms across her chest.
"Man, what is it with you Torettos where you're all the heroes in your own stories?" Linder asks as he waves his hands around. "Look, I'm gonna tell you a secret. You, your dad, me... we're all stuck, going round and round in the same shitty circle. And we ain't never getting out."
"You ain't half the man my dad was," Dom states as he looks at Linder in disgust.
"At least I'm alive, asshole," Linder retorts, knowing it would anger Dom.
"You son of a bitch," Bonnie says without even thinking as she swings at Linder with her fist connecting to his jaw.
"Get off me!" Linder says as he punches Bonnie, causing her to fall to the ground. Dom sees red as he swings with the wrench, knocking Linder to the ground.
"Dom! Dom! Dom!" Buddy and David yell while rushing over as Dom gets on top of Linder still swinging with the wrench.
"Dom, no! Dom! No, man!" Buddy yells as he pulls Dom away from Linder while David helps Bonnie up and Jakob watches everything in shock.
The police chief talks to Buddy and David while Jakob and Bonnie are in the waiting area. Bonnie begins to pace before they see Dom being led over to where he has his fingerprints done.
"Dom," Bonnie says as she goes to walk over to the window but Dom slightly shakes his head no, causing her to stop before she and Jakob watch in shock as Dom is placed into a holding cell to await his trial.
Dom is sentenced to two years at Lompoc Maximum Security Prison with the chance of early parole with good behavior. Dom's Abuelita started coming around to take care of Mia and doing everything she can to make sure that the house doesn't go under.
Jakob is around but he mainly stays at Buddy's, working on his car. Buddy is nice enough to walk Bonnie through the finances on the Toretto garage and store. Which both only have about a month before they would go under as well.
Bonnie is sitting at the desk in the garage office, trying to decide whether the garage or the store was worth keeping. Bonnie knew that Dom would choose the garage over the store in a heartbeat, but the books showed that the store was actually making more money.
"Not exactly the place that I thought I would find you at," Anastasia teases as she leans against the door of the office with her arms crossed across her chest. Bonnie looks up in shock as she recognizes the voice.
"Ana!" Bonnie squeals as she jumps up and runs around the desk to pull Anastasia into a hug. "What are you doing here?"
"Supposed to be here for "college"," Anastasia answers with a smirk as she uses her fingers as quotation marks when she says college. "But honestly, I came to find my best friend."
"I'm so glad you are here!" Bonnie says as she pulls Anastasia into another hug. "How did you find me?"
"Surprise!" Letty exclaims as she pokes her head into the office.
"Thank you!" Bonnie says as she pulls Letty into a hug. "Now, I have both of my girls."
"So, what type of shenanigans are we getting into?" Anastasia asks as she wraps an arm around Bonnie's shoulders.
"There's a race tonight," Letty suggests which causes Bonnie to smile because that is the exact distraction that she needs. "You can figure everything else out tomorrow." Bonnie nods in agreement before they start closing up the garage.
"Is Jakob racing tonight?" Bonnie asks as they walk over the their cars.
"You know it," Letty answers with a wide smile, since she and Jakob are still going strong.
"Who's Jakob?" Anastasia asks as she looks between the two girls.
"Letty's boyfriend and the younger brother of my boyfriend," Bonnie answers with a smile as she thinks about Dom.
"Wait. Boyfriend? When do I get to meet the lucky guy?" Anastasia questions as she nudges Bonnie a few times.
"When he gets out of prison," Bonnie answers honestly which causes Anastasia to look at her with wide eyes. "It's a long story."
