My parents dropped Luc and I off at Diagon Alley on August 30th. We'd stay for two days, so we have time to shop and then we'd make our way to Kings Cross. Mother grilled us relentlessly on the path to take all summer, to the point where there was no way I could mess it up. We got a room in the Leaky Cauldron, which I was not too pleased with. I would rather not stay somewhere that has the word "leaky" in the name. I was done shopping within an hour, I really didn't understand the need for two days. Luc told me to meet him at the Leaky Cauldron at 3:00 and it was only 1:30, so I decided to look around a bit. I hated Diagon Alley. It was full of people, which made it seem hotter than it was. I finally decided to just head back to the Leaky Cauldron regardless of the time, as the air was sticky and humid and my hair began to puff up.

Luc told me off when he returned to the room, said he started freaking out. Why, I'm not sure. I don't know why this had to be a whole thing. But apparently Luc got caught up with some old friends from when he attended Hogwarts at 11 before we moved to France, and lost track of time. Which basically means he didn't get shit. The next day i decide not to return to Diagon Alley with him. I go down and order some food, however when it arrives it looks less than appetizing. It's slushy and gross and nothing compared to the food back in France. I know how bratty i'm being about the situation, but i just don't care. i miss home, i miss my friends, i miss my ballet classes, and unlike Luc, most of my earliest memories are of France. I have no friends here. I sulk there and decide to start on one of the books i bought the day previous. it's a muggle book, i bought it in a nearby bookstore in the regular streets of London. I bought quite a few actually. but "pride & prejudice" stuck out the most. the cover was beautiful, the store was second hand so the old owner of the book made a personalized and embroidered cover. It's beautiful. I'm interupted by chattering, as a large family of redheads come bustling through the door, one of the boys arguing with a girl with curly mousy brown hair. She's holding the ugliest cat i've ever seen, and while they're busy bickering the cat licks its lips and nips at the rat that the boy is holding.
"See!! That ugly beast is trying to eat Scabbers! Get it away!" shrieks the red headed boy. he curls his nose in disgust at the cat, his freckled face red as if he's out of air.
"Ronald!" the girl shrieks. They start up bickering again, however my attention is pulled away when i go to pour more tea from the kettle and it bites me.
"Shit! What the hell!" I yell, looking around for whatever caused this. My eyes land on two chuckling boys. They're tall and they would look exactly the same if it weren't for something about one of the boy's face. He wasn't smirking like the other boy. His smile was soft and apologetic. Amused, but apologetic nonetheless.
"Excuse you! Why did my tea kettle just bite me?"
" Why i'm not sure." says the smug one. "George why did this young lady's tea kettle just bite her?"
"Wonderful question Fred. You see it's because... well i really haven't a clue ." He chuckles and I begin to say something else when i'm interrupted by the girl with the mousy curly hair.
"Harry!"
I look up to see a slightly frazzled and very skinny boy descend the stairs. The twin boys' attention is removed from me and at the same time, Luc enters.
"Hey, me and my friends are going to a restaurant down the way from the inn, do you wanna come?" I would like to say no, but i deeply desire food that is edible so i accept.
