"ARE YOU COMING!?" My mom yells from downstairs.
"Yeah, I'm coming!" I yell back as I close my suitcase. I headed downstairs to see my mom and dad ready to go. "Come on! Go get in the car." My dad says as he takes my suitcase. I climbed into the backseat of the car while my mom hopped in the front.
After we got every thing settled we were on our way. "Okay.." My mom hesitated. "Do you have your tooth brush?" She asked. "Yes." I answered. "Hairbrush?" "Yes." "Clothes" "yes." "Alright. You should be good."
We stopped at a near by gas station to go to the washroom and get some snacks.
"Alright. Are you sure you guys have everything you need?" "Yep!" "Alright. Let's start this trip!" My dad yelled as he turned up the radio. I just sat back, put my headphones in, and listened to my own music while my dad was having a mini dance party.
About an hour later it was already getting dark so we decided to stop and sleep in the car for the night.
The thing I was most worried about was that we were in the middle of no where. In the middle of the night I could not go to sleep. I went outside to get some air until I heard something in the bushes. "AHH!!!" I ran back to the car. My mom woke up and asked what was wrong. "I heard something in the bushes." "Probably just a squirrel, calm down. Besides, why were you out there in the first place?" "I couldn't go to sleep." I pouted. "Mom, can you go check it out?" "No Alex. Like I said, it's probably a squirrel or bird or something." "Please mom!" "Fine!" She cried. I watched her exit the car and go behind the bushes.
"Do you see anything mom?" I waited a couple seconds and she didn't answer. "Mom?" I asked again. Still no answer. "Mom? Hello?" "MOM!?" I got out of the car and didn't see her. "Mom?" I started looking around. "Mom!?!" I ran over to my dad and woke him up. "Dad! Mom went outside and now she's gone!" I said as I was shaking him trying to wake him up. "Nice try Alex, go back to sleep." "DAD! I'm not kidding mom's gone!" "Alex stop! She's right here." He reached out his hand to the seat next to him until his eyes shot open realizing she wasn't there. "Where is she?" He asked nervously.
"I don't know!"
"Alright, stay here I'll be back."
"Okay."
I watched him exit the car as well.
"Dad?" "Yeah?" He called back. "Just making sure your still there."
About two minutes later I decided to call for him again. "Dad?" No answer. "Oh no... YOU BETTER NOT BE PLAYING A JOKE ON ME!" I didn't even dare to go outside, but when I had to, no one was there.
