Chapter 3 I'm going to miss Paradise

I push my eyes open because I know what's going to happen today. I'm up before everyone else. I try not to be as sentimental as I am but I can't help it, damn I'm really gonna miss the place. I decide to go for a walk around the island for my last time for now at least. When I finish my crying, I mean walk I sit on the the front steps of our house/palace knowing I will miss it all but I can't wait for a change of scenery.

Mom must have got up I hear soft footsteps coming for me. "I know you'll miss, I know I did..." I turn around shocked to see Diana and not mom. Diana was always the girl to sleep till noon. "I know, you didn't expect to see me till 2 in the afternoon, but I figured you could use a talk before we leave our home, all you've ever known." she sighs smiling at me while sitting on the step next to me.

I smile back " I don't know how I could love this place so much and yet want to leave it."

"Well when I left love brought me to it, are you sure you want to come?" Diana tells me with her loving eyes.

" I'm glad your concerned but I want to go. I want adventure not boredom and banquets. I want to be just like my big sis." I say smiling and waiting for Diana's response. She pulls me in a close hug and I begin to feel tears hit my shoulder.

" I'm so glad. You've grown up so much since I left here." she pulls away wiping her tears with her thumb. " The human world can be rough but if you need my help you can talk to me."

"Drew!Diana!" We here mom calling from inside.

"Coming" we call back in unison.

We walk back inside to find Kara with bed head and Breakfast ready. We all eat breakfast together, talking every now and again, I don't think anyone at the table is a morning person.

After breakfast I put on my costume; it fits like a glove. Mom walks in and begins to cry, that's freaking great now it's going to be even harder to leave. We smile and hug and cry together for a few minutes.

By the time Batgirl, Supergirl, and my sis are waiting for me. Wait there is one wait two invisible jets. I look to mom, "there is the last of your surprise" she replies. Wow! I always loved driving Diana's every time she comes home. My family meets in a group hug for the last time for now. Diana and Batgirl ride in her jet and me and Supergirl ride in mine.

Damn, Paradise Island looks beautiful from an airplane. I look down and see mom great I'm gonna cry.

On our way to the Justice Hall me and Kara talk about our families. I think we are really going to get along. She told me that Diana was gonna spend her time in Washington D.C.,U.S capital, to watch over Steve and that I was only spending 2 weeks with my sister then could move in with either Barbara or Kara for 3 months. Then I could move in with the Teen Titans.

Why isn't Diana telling me this? Was it to hard for her.
