It was a dark and chilly Halloween night on October 31, 2022. Matthew and I had spent the evening trick or treating, and we had collected enough candy to feed a large family. As the clock struck 10:30 PM, something unexpected happened that changed my life forever. The sky was adorned with bright, twinkling stars, and an air of recklessness and uncertainty hung in the atmosphere. Perhaps it was the tension between us that had been building up for some time.
