You may not realize, but you made the toughest stride
In becoming a better man, with strength by your side
And that step was to leave me behind
A hard choice made for a new path to findI remember your words, clear as glow
Said I might not understand why you let us go
But now I see why you walked that path
The toughest choice, the hardest aftermathYou let me go because you loved me so
To spare me pain, you chose to let me goIn that very moment, your love did show
Letting us part, to help us grow
You may have realized it sooner, it's true
But it struck me on a random Tuesday night, throughIt felt like a sudden decision you made, I admit
Yet I know it didn't happen overnight, not a bit
It was the result of unresolved issues piling up
A tower we built that suddenly collapsed
It was your breaking point to end the cycle
Before it could worsen and cause more struggleYour strength showed like an iron span
As you've firmly held, what a brave man
Even in your pain, your empathy grew
As my pain mirrored in you too
For that, your courage I deeply admire
As being together can't cease the fire
It takes a strong man to release the unspoken
Understanding love alone can't fix what's brokenNot forcing a thing, as I pledged to Him
In His time, love's light won't grow dim
But I hope, in His plan, we'll find
Another fateful chance to intertwine
It's beautiful to dream that by then
We'll both be wiser and ready again
Only then our love can take flight
Bound by God, enduring every fightIf we're meant to be, love will find its track
Back to us, with no looking back
I'll see you again, though it may take time
In weeks, in months, or years, passing by
But I hope someday when we reunite
We'll mend our ways and make things rightAs we always say, it's never goodbye, but "see you later"
For now, let's grow separately and let fate be our navigator
