Y/n were sleeping in her room (peacefully) when the sound of the door woke her up.

Without thinking, she threw a pillow in the direction of her door.

"What the- hey, it's just me!"  Megumi whispered in an annoyed manner after he'd been hit by the pillow.

"...I couldn't sleep." He added, his footsteps slowly approaching her bed.

Seriously? y/n grumbled as she was still half-asleep.

"Yeah...." Said Megumi, standing next to y/n's bed. "Couldn't fall asleep when I was trying to, so I figured I'd come here." He added quietly, she could slightly see his eyes shine from the dim lighting in the room, but that was about it.

"And bother me?" y/n sighed,running her hands through her hair after a few moments she turned to Megumi.

"why me?"

Megumi stayed quiet for a couple of seconds before talking again. He sounded a bit embarrassed when he eventually answered.

"...cause I didn't wanna be alone at night."

He paused and hesitantly said after.

"...plus I feel safer when I'm close to you." Megumi's voice was very low now, almost as if he was ashamed to admit that.

Y/n smiled softly. 'How cute.. No ones ever said that before.'

Megumi's cheeks slightly darkened, realizing how he might have sounded when he said that.

"...So...you don't mind that I'm here right now?" He asked quietly, moving his face closer to y/ns.

"No not really."

y/n said as she laid back down on her head looking at the ceiling.

Really?..." He asked softly.

"So you're not gonna kick me out or scream or anything?..."

"Seriously? It's like you want me to do that." Y/n deadpanned as she looked at him, frowning.

Megumi seemed to pause when he heard that, his mind trying to process what she had said. He then thought about it for a bit before speaking up.

"...I just thought you'd react like that...normally someone would." He confessed.

"Besides... I know I'm pretty annoying..."

"You.? Annoying? Seriously who the hell said that?" Y/n smiled and scoffed just thinking if someone saying 'Megumi is annoying.'

Well.. you know... the other students always say I lack social skills, I'm uptight, I'm not fun to be around with... stuff like that." He explained. "So that's why I thought you'd eventually think I was annoying too..."
Megumi then turned his face away, trying to avoid looking at y/n so she couldn't notice the guilty look he had on his face.

y/n's frown disappeared.

"that's not true Megumi. Not at all." y/n muttered softly.
