Brandy's party

"Bailey!" A tall muscular man approached the girl.

"Hey! Frank!" Bailey laughed

"How've you been kid? His smile was lopsided, almost smirky, it was the perfect amount of flirtatious

"Not bad, not bad" she shrugged "you grew out your hair" she looked up at Frank's new dark curls

"New era" he raised his eyebrows before huffing

The conversation went smoothly and unknown to Frank, just as planned.

Bailey knew Frank was going to be at the party, she had planned every possible conversation in her head and she had dolled herself up to look impecable. She knew he would go over and talk to her, and she knew she was wearing his favorite perfume of hers. What she didn't know was that other two guys she had her eye on would be attending the party as well.

As Bailey flirted with the tall guy, her eyes flickered to Frank's left, it couldn't be, she looked back at Frank, was it? She looked back, fuck, it was.

Tony stood awkwardly next to what seemed to be a friend of his who happened to be greeting some of the other guests. She knew it was supposed to be a big party, but she did not count on Tony showing up, how could he? He wasn't friends with Brandy or anyone in their inner circle, how did he end up at the party where she was supposed to finally make Frank ask her out?

She had to think quick, Tony could NOT see her, since, if he did he would notice her and Frank flirting, and if he did he would stop pursuing her, and she wasn't sure Frank was the one she wanted, at least not yet. Shit, shit, shit, she thought to herself.

-"I think I see Brandy calling me" she lied to Frank "I'll be right back" she lied again

With her back turned to Tony, Bailey sneaked between the guests hoping for the best, luckily Brandy had just come of sight.

-"Brannie!" Bailey whispered loudly

-"Hey! Found my cousin yet?" Brandy jested

-"I did" Bailey smiled looking up "but we have a bigger problem" she remembered "Tony's here"

-"What?! How?"

-"I don't know, I think a friend of Jeremiah's brought him, I don't know" She repeated

-"Fuck" Brandy exclaimed worryingly

-"I know! What should I do?"

Brandy just chewed her lip while trying to think of a solution.

-"Damn Baybay, I can't think of anything... why don't you hide inside while I think of something" Brandy suggested

-"Good idea, I need to cool down anyways, it's hot as fuck in here"

-"I'll go fetch you in a bit" Brandy kissed her friend's cheek before greeting new guests

Bailey walked inside the summer house while fanning herself with her hand, she looked over at the empty home and remembered all of the memories Brandy and her had made there, going to the beach, taking swims on the pool and yapping all night long.

While roaming through the home, she could see her memories come to life, what they had done there and how much fun it had been, she would have stayed lost in her thoughts if it hadn't been for the sound of a door closing that interrupted the perfect silence and her vivid imagination.

She turned her head quickly, the noise had scared her as she thought she was alone. When her eyes came of sight with the cause of the noise, she almost froze.

-"Bailey! What are you doing here, gorgeous?" A long haired boy had just gone out of the bathroom and was now walking towards the girl

-"Dominic! Hi!" She quickly composed herself "could say the same thing"

-"My band's playing for the birthday girl" He stepped closer to Bailey, gently resting his hand on her waist "how bout you?"

Playing for the birthday girl? Brandy had most certainly not mentioned Dom's band was going to play at the party.

-"Oh! The birthday girl's my best friend" In any other occasion Bailey would've been thrilled to have Dom's hands on her, but given the situation, she only wished for him to disappear

-"No way! It's Brannie's party? That's insane!" The revelation made Dominic back up, which made Bailey relieved "the whole performance is a surprise tho, so shhh" he placed his face close to the girl's while shushing

-"I won't snitch, I promise" she smiled up to him before remembering what she was there for "I'm just going to go to Brannie's room to get something, see you later tho!" She walked up the stairs quickly

-"See you later, doll" Dominic stared at Bailey's bum as she left

Once the girl got to the bedroom, she threw herself at the bed and looked up at the ceiling, just observing the fan circle round and round, she placed her hand on her stomach and felt it rise and fall as she took deep breaths.

Twenty minutes later she decided to stop hiding and go enjoy the party, the last thing she'd want on her birthday party was for Brandy to run and hide somewhere for the whole night. As soon as she sat up, the bedroom door opened.

-"I've got it Bay!" It was Brandy "all you have to do is stay with me the whole time, I know you wanted to spend the day with Frank, but I think this is the only option you've got to not get massively burnt"

-"I think that's a good idea" Bailey stood up and fixed her hair and makeup on the vanity while Brandy did the same

After a hit of her mint vape, Bailey was ready to face the hardest chore of all, to avoid the three guys she liked the most.
