I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth when I heard my phone vibrate.

I quickly finished up, wiped my mouth, and headed to my bedroom.

I picked up my phone and sat down on my bed in the process.

It was Kurt.

"I just got back from the bar with Nick and Dale. What are you up to?"

I smirked.

"Getting ready for bed." I replied.

"Oh, Sam, that was such a typical answer. You need to make yourself more interesting!" I thought.

Kurt: "At 10:22? That bedtime is for wimps."

Me: "That's what unpacking does to ya."

Kurt: "You're too cute. On another note, you said you liked food earlier. What kind of restaurant would you like to go eat at?"

Me: "Make it a surprise."

"That's good. Thats REALLY good. Keeping things interesting," I thought.

Kurt: "But, what if you're allergic to shrimp and I have to play the ole "throw them into the car and speed to the hospital" card."

Me: "Well, then I guess I'll give you a list of things I'm allergic to...

1. Nothing."

Kurt: "Now, that was clever, sweetheart."

Me: "So, Kurt, why are we texting if we are within 30 feet of each other?"

Kurt: "Not sure, actually. Wanna come over?"

Me: "Sorry, Kurt. I'm going to have to decline that offer. I really am tired. I'll see you tomorrow. Night."

"Oh yeah. Leave him hanging," I thought to myself.

Kurt: "See you then."

I set my phone down on my bedside table and plugged it in.

Damn, Kurt is really getting under my skin.

I pulled the covers up to my shoulders and turned to sleep on my right side. I closed my eyes, hoping sleep would come to me quick.

The only thing that I found myself thinking about was Kurt.
