Chapter 6: tuning the melody

Meanwhile, in the outside world...

The rest of Team Flash rushes into the infirmary, carefully placing Barry on a bed beside Kara and hooking him up to machines that monitor his vitals.

Mailin and Henry attempt to follow but are intercepted by Cisco.

"Ah ah ah, first, you two are going to explain! Starlight and Solarflare? Who the heck are they? And how do you have Barry's speed? And why did you call Barry 'Dad'?" Cisco bombards them with one question after another while Hank glares at the twins with his arms crossed.

"Uh..."

"Well..."

Mailin and Henry exchange nervous glances, struggling to find their words before panic sets in, and they take off, speeding through S.T.A.R. Labs until they stop by their unconscious parents. Caitlin jumps, startled by their sudden appearance.

Moments later, Cisco and Hank catch up, with Cisco out of breath and huffing in frustration. "You two! Seriously?"

Hank steps forward, intent on restraining them before they can bolt again. However, when he grabs Mailin, she instinctively flips him over with her super strength. She gasps and covers her mouth, apologizing, "I'm so sorry! That was out of reflex!"

Henry helps Hank back up with a sheepish grin. "Uh, really sorry about that."

Caitlin steps forward before Cisco can ask more questions. "We can worry about these two troublemakers later. For now, we have another problem. The Speed Force levels in Barry's cells have been severely depleted, as has the solar radiation in Kara's body."

"What exactly does that mean?" Hank asks, frowning.

"They're being drained. The guy who did this to them... I think he's stealing their powers," Caitlin explains.

Meanwhile, the Music Meister speeds through Central City, stopping at a bank and using heat vision to burn through the vault doors. With the bag of money in hand, he struts out confidently.

Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Team Flash watches the robbery unfold through CCTV footage.

"We gotta bring him in," Mon-El says, fists clenched. Mailin and Henry speed into the room, stopping abruptly in front of the screen.

"No, Henry and I will handle this," Mailin declares sternly.

"We're the reason Da—" Mailin elbows her brother before he can finish. Henry winces and corrects himself, "The reason Barry got whammied."

"Guys! Barry and Kara's vitals are all over the place," Caitlin calls out urgently.

Mailin turns to her brother with determination. "Let's go!"

Henry nods, and in a flash, the twins are gone.

They arrive at the bank just as the Music Meister steps out, the bag of money slung over his shoulder.

"Oh, the Stellar Duo is back! Gotta say, you still look scared," the Music Meister taunts, his smug grin unwavering.

"We're not scared of anything!" Mailin snaps back.

Henry nods beside her, fists clenched.

"Prove it," the Music Meister challenges before speeding off.

Mailin and Henry give chase, the cityscape a blur as they pursue him through the streets and over rooftops. They leap from one building to the next, leaving trails of lightning and solar flares in their wake.

The Music Meister stops on a high-rise rooftop, but before he can react, Solarflare launches forward and kicks him off. He tumbles down and skids across the snowy street below.
