'Mom, I'm heading out!'
Valerie grabbed her bag and quickly stuffed her water bottle in.
'Have you packed everything? Last time you forgot your lunch!'
I don't even want to remember, I started to starve that day. Was I forgetting something? She looked around. Bottle? Check. Lunch? Check. English books? Check. Phone? In the pocket. Keys? Holding right now.
'I think I have everything.'With a loud sigh she looked at the clock.
'Shit, I had to leave 4 minutes ago!' The girl threw her bag over her shoulder and hopped into her shoes, racing towards the door.
'I'm late, bye mom!' Before her mother could answer, she already slammed the door shut.
The sun was shining pleasantly on her shoulders, making Valerie drift away in her thoughts. Until a loud bicycle bell sounded, snapping her out of her thoughts.
'Hey! Watch where you walk!' The wheel nearly ran over her feet. She turned around and saw his disgusting face.
Of course it was Bryan, always thinking he was quite something.
'You can't just bike on the sidewalk.' Laughing sarcastically, he gave Valerie a dirty look.
'Who are you to order me around?' Not waiting for a response, Bryan bikes away.
'Bitch.' muttered Valerie and stuck up her middle fingers.
Unfortunately she turned around too quickly and crashed into someone again, causing her to fall backwards. The person she bumped into had fast reflexes, catching her up just in time. A soft gasp escaped out of her mouth when he wrapped his arm around her waist.
'I-I'm-' Their eyes met each other, lost in thoughts. His eyes were just as dark as the void and sharp like a knife.
The way his hands are placed... What the hell am I thinking?? He's just a stranger!
She shook away her thoughts and remembered that she had school.
'I'm sorry for bumping into you, I wish I could apologized more properly, but I'm in a rush... S-Sorry!'
With a flushed face, she turned around and ran off.
'Ugh, I'm so clumsy!' She slapped herself multiple times on her forehead and continued walking to school.
The guy watched her leave and smiled.
'So we are meant to be together... Valerie.'
