A/n: not me taking another hiatus😀
Y/N's POV:
Is it a good thing to invite your super-hot, straight crush to your house because you're too shy to confess your feelings normally?
No.
But it's okay, I'm 100% sure he won't even show up because he has more important things to do on a Saturday. Hopefully.
Well he did.
I had invited Grant Narate, the HOTTEST guy I had ever seen, over to my place for the weekend since my family went out to an event for my sibling. I was setting up our theatre room when I heard a knock at the door. I rushed over to answer the door, and sure enough, Grant was there. "Hey, Y/n! Thanks for having me over this weekend!" He said happily, giving a huge hug. I managed to not immediately confess my feelings and greet him. "Hey! Honestly, I'm glad you're over. It was gonna be lonely, and my parents don't mind at all either!" I showed him into the room we'll be in for the majority of the time, and then around my house.
We got to my room and the first thing he saw was my instrumental corner, which had my violin, piano and guitar stuffed into a little corner. "Holy shit, you play... instruments?" he asked rather excitedly, and I chuckled. "Yeah, it's just a little side thing I like to do, not that special really." Grant had already sat down at my piano and tried to play a very bad jumble of notes, which I laughed at. "Ok, hold on", I said, before sitting down beside him and swiping his hands off the piano, "This it what it should sound like." I started to play a mesmerizing piece called Flower Duet and let it fill the room, all while I could feel Grant's eyes stare at my playing.
Grant's POV:
They were amazing, it's like my breath had been stolen by their playing alone. But it wasn't just that. Everything about them was just perfect, their looks, their voice, their smile, and now I've discovered, their many talents. I do know I'm in love with them, I have been since we met, but everyday I think I'm falling slightly more in love. They finished playing and I was just speechless. "Wow, uh, you're really good. I could never play like that," I finally managed to say. "Thanks, I've been learning since I was little," they replied with the cutest smile I had ever seen. After that, we went down to the loungeroom and watched some movies and ate snacks, ordered pizza, and just had a very nice time. We stayed awake late into the hours of the night, and we were getting so tired. As a result, we were a bit delirious.
Around 11pm, Y/n and I were singing somewhat loudly to dumb love songs, and I could barely contain my blush. I kept staring at them, God were they hot. They looked over to me with the goofiest smile on their face, and I smiled wider. The song, "Lover's Rock" came on, and I watched as Y/n got up and created a performance in front of me.
Song Start
Are you sick of me?
Would you like to be?
I'm trying to tell you something
Something that I already saidYou like a pretty boy
With a pretty voice
Who is trying to sell you something
Something that you already haveBut if you're too drunk to drive
And the music is right
She might let you stay
But just for the night
And if she grabs for your hand
And drags you along
She might want a kiss
Before the end of this songBecause love can burn like a cigarette
And leave you alone with nothing
And leave you alone with nothingWhile the others talk
We were listening to lovers rock
In her bedroom
In her bedroomAnd if you start to kiss
And the record skips
Flip it over
And sit a little closerBut if you're too drunk to drive
And the music is right
She might let you stay
But just for the night
And if she grabs for your hand
And drags you along
She might want a kiss
Before the end of this songBecause love can burn like a cigarette
And leave you alone with nothing
And leave you alone with nothingDo-do, do-do-do-do-do
Do-do, do-do-do-do-do
Do-do, do-do-do-do-do
Do-do, do-do-do-do-doBecause love can burn like a cigarette
And leave you alone with nothing
And leave you alone with nothingSong End
When they finished, I was laughing, absolutely mesmerized by them. I applauded them, and got up. "Damn, who knew you were also a singer!" They went a bit red, and shyly looked away. "You good, Y/n?" I asked, and they nodded, looking back up to me. "Y-yeah, I'm good," they replied, but I didn't fully believe them. "Do you wanna watch a movie?" I nodded.
I should tell them how I feel, but I can never seem to say it.
Y/n's POV:
I was so close to telling him. So close. But I just had to change the subject, didn't I?
We settled on a comedy movie, but specifically one that had a little bit of romance in it. And some spice. My bad.
Anyways, we both sat on the sofa, somewhat near each other, and the movie went into a romance scene. Since I am a very mature person, I watched the screen very normally. It was a confession scene, so I took some mental notes.
After that, the movie finished and I looked over to Grant, who had fallen asleep. I smiled, getting up to go put a blanket on him. I had a strange urge to kiss him on the forehead, but he looked so peaceful. And what if the kiss woke him up? I'd have to explain to him why I was kissing him, and I was not ready for that.
I just decided to give a quick peck, and ran off to my room afterwards to avoid being questioned.
I can't do it. I just can't.
