"Why are you so interested in dreams?" Rosie asked the fellow straw-hat captain, he was staring at the girl, looking for something, to get her to tell him what's going on in her mind. He notice the bow and arrows still wrapped around her body, "Who taught you to do archery?"
He points at her equipment displaying on her back, the pinkette stares at the ocean before answering, "Myself. I took interest in archery when I was young, about seven or eight years. I believe it was when I saw someone, who'd worked for the Marines, was shooting her arrows towards an apple tree..."
Rosie starts to have flashbacks of her time during childhood, seeing the bright colored decorations around the village, seeing the villagers that were there to celebrate the day she was brought into their life, and spending time with her parents, especially her mother.
Rosie always stick by her mother's side and there was a time, the Marines came to Rosetta Island as a precaution against pirates to invade their home and trying to ruin their festivities. Rosie's mother, Angelique, with little Rosie walking beside her, they've walk over to one of the Marines working.
Rosie learned that her mother is friends with one of the Marines, named Bellemère. She was a slim woman and tall like her mother but she has her hair as a fuchsia color, tied in a ponytail. Rosie notice Bellemère had a weapon on her back, so curiously got the beat of her.
Little Rosie walk behind the Marine and starts poking at the equipment while the two women talk but was rudely interrupted when Rosie kept on poking at the quiver a bit harsh making Bellemère turn around.
Angelique took Rosie back to her side and scolded her, "Rosie, it's not polite to poke your finger at someone, it's extremely offensive to anyone."
Bellemère tries to justify Rosie's actions by mentioning that the girl was only curious of her archery equipment, "It's alright, the birthday girl wants to know what I'm carrying around my back,"
Bellemère grabs her bow and arrow aim at a tree filled with apples that's few meters away from them. Soon as she has her aims towards the tree, the Marine lets go of the arrow and it flew with such speed.
Rosie stared at awed at Bellemère, that was flashing a cheeky smile. The arrow has three apple pierced through it before landing on the ground. After that day, Rosie started to take interest in the weaponry.
"...A women name Bellemère introduces me to archery, she was the only that'd showed me how it works and instantly I knew I have to learn archery. I may not be the best but I'm getting the hang of it, at least." Rosie looks back at Luffy.
