First Day Of School

Prajeet's POV :-

Alarm rings*

It was 6:00 am as I woke up looking through the window. The day was as beautiful as always. Birds singing, flowers blooming, sun shining. What a good day to begin! I had a habit of sitting for a while on the bed after I wake up. Mumma yelled "Prajeet beta! It's 6:00 in the morning..tumhe abhi school jana hai jaldi utho..". I got up and freshened myself and had my breakfast. I was about to leave the school when my parents called me.

Father - Beta suno...
Son - ye..yes papa
Father - [sighs] it's your first day of school. I hope you do well today. Best of luck
Son - Thank you...papa
Mother - And one thing, be quiet and do not make any scenes in school. It's your first day in this new school. Have a good day.
Son - Ji maa..
Father - Take care beta... I've to go I'm getting late. Bye
Son - Bye papa..

I bid good bye to my parents and left for school. Even when I was extremely coward and introvert the only ones who truly understood and cared about me were my parents. They were everything to me. I listened their each and every small things. The school was about 300 m away from my house. I reached the school and entered the gate. While I was going inside the school a car rapidly came across me and I panickly jumped on the grass. The car was about to hit me. I angrily yelled at him "oyyy..andhee dekh ke gadi chala" . As I was approaching to the school I saw the same car guy who was about to hit me. He came towards me and started talking rudely. "Heyy....are you a newbie here?". I replied "ye..yes" . "....and...tune..woh mujhe car se hit karne wala tha na...??". He angrily catched me by my collar. The students approaching inside the school were all looking at us. The car guy fiercely warned me "oyy..tu yaha naya hai isiliye tujhe chod raha hu...agar tune dubara mere saath esi tarah baat kiya then I will chop you into pieces!!...You bastard". He later pushed me roughly and I fell down. I was a short tempered person but my mother had already warned me not to fight back in school, just stay quite. I entered the classroom and everyone looking at me were disgusted. I went and sat on the last corner of the bench. It was 7:40, the class was about to begin when a girl came and sat next to me. We started communicating.

Girl - Hello?
Prajeet - H..hii
Girl - [awkwardly] um..are you a new student here? Because I've never seen you before..
Prajeet - Ye..yes.. haa main yaha naya hu..what about you?
Girl - Me too. I joined this school because my dad got transferred this year and also I heard this school is extremely fine.
Prajeet - Ohh..nice 😊
Girl - [ smiles ] by the way.. what's your name.?
Prajeet - It's..praj..prajeet .
Girl - [chuckles] I think you're an introvert who doesn't talk more.
Prajeet - Hehe..i know right..by the way..tum?
Girl - I'm Bhavika..nice to meet you..
Prajeet - Me too..umm...friends??
Bhavika - Ofc! [smiles] From now on.. I'll be your bench partner..okay..if you have any trouble you can come to me [smiles]
Prajeet - Thanks...um..you too..
Bhavika - [chukles]

Rupali - heyy guys..! Look at those newbies..they got no friends..
Aadarsh - Who'd want to be friends with such nerds?

Note - There was a bully gang in their school who treated innocent and decent people like shit and tortured them to the point that they had to drop out of school. They hadn't been suspended because they were children of very popular personalities who could permanently close the school. This gang consisted of six people -

Aadarsh Yadav
Gaurav Ahuja

Aarohi Anand
Every student of their school had to listen to them as they were seniors of the school.

[Bullies start laughing. Prajeet and Bhavika remain quite until the class teacher enters]

Everyone hurriedly moved to their seated and greeted their teacher.

"Good morning baccho..please take your seats"
