Later, I contacted my partner in crime to help me investigate about Emily whereabouts. He agreed and when he arrived, his first question was whether I had questioned her friends. I informed him that I had visited the house of the friend she had been with that night. However, he pointed out that we couldn't solely rely on one person's account and that we needed more evidence to move forward with the case. In that moment, I began searching through Emily's phone, looking through her gallery, apps, and phone numbers. To my surprise, I discovered that she had installed the Ola app. I couldn't understand why she would do that if she already knew how to drive. Nevertheless, I brushed it off and proceeded to call the different numbers listed on her phone.

Suddenly, it dawned on me that she had two best friends. One was the girl I had spoken to earlier in the morning, and the other was a boy. I decided to call the boy and he revealed that he had something important to share about Emily . He sent me the address of a café and without wasting any time, I hopped into my car and headed there. When I arrived, I approached him and asked what had happened. He began to recount the events of that night. As it turned out, Emily  had planned to surprise me for my birthday and was on her way back to our house when her car broke down in the middle of the road. She called our friend and explained the situation, but suddenly, during the call, we heard the sound of a lorry horn. Panicked, we asked her what had happened and she mentioned that a lorry had recklessly passed by her. And that was the last we heard from her.

As the events unfolded, I couldn't help but wonder why she had called me first. Reacting swiftly, I rose from my seat and firmly stated that she must not leave without informing us. I warned her that if she did, we might have to take her to the police station later. With a nod of understanding, he acknowledged my words. Stepping outside, I pondered over what could have possibly happened to her. It was already 8:00, and feeling exhausted, I made up my mind to head home and get some much-needed rest.
