VII (last chapter)

Xiao awoke and he almost forgets why Aether was wearing his shirt, he gives Aether a small kiss and heads outside. He sees a a vehicle driving towards his house, and as it parks by the sidewalk, a woman in a gown comes out and sees Xiao standing on the patio. She walks up to the door and knocks. 

"Hello dear sir. Are you living along?" asked the lady.

"Uh no, I live with my boyfriend." Replied Xiao.

"I'm assuming your boyfriend is Aether, correct?" asked the lady again.

"Uhm... yeah?" Said Xiao.

"You two have been invited to a ball that starts this evening. You must be there. The location is on this card, and if you need any questions or suggestions, my number is on this other card." Said the lady as she gives Xiao two cards.

Xiao looks at the card with the location to the ball, 'Eternal Elegance' it said on the card. Then he looks on the other card, the lady's name was Chiori. She's a model and a fashion designer, and she also works for Ningguang. The last left and Xiao spotted another person inside the car. It wasn't the driver, but it looked like they had short white hair with a long black streat that reaches the person's shoulder. He couldn't see the rest of the person's appearance but he was curious to know who that might've been. He woke up Aether and told him about the ball but Aether was still too exhausted to move. Xiao made breakfast and brought a plate to Aether, Aether stood up and sat on the bed. His legs were still very wobbly because of how hard it was last night. He ate his food and looked at the timing on his phone.

"Shoot! I need to be at work." Shouted Aether.

Aether tried standing on his own then fell down on his knees. He called in Xiao and he helped him up, the blonde could not walk and so he frowned at Xiao. The green haired boy picked up the blonde, and laid him on the couch. Xiao picked out some suits for the two of them to wear at the ball, Aether hated the suits so he "fixed" his suit. It was afternoon, Xiao and Aether had already gotten ready. Xiao rented a car to drive them to the ball and they arrived. It was big and beautiful, so many lights around the mansion and a big Christmas tree inside. Aether was stunned by the beauty of this mansion. As they walked in they saw a tall woman in a suit, Xiao opened his eyes widely and noticed that this person looked exactly like the one in Chiori's vehicle. A white short haired woman with a long black streak that reaches her shoulders, wearing a big white coat around her. She was definitely an agent, but what kind of agent..?

"Ohh you came!! Welcome, welcome. Please sit anywhere you'd like, I'll prepare some drinks for you two. Oh I forgot! This is Arlecchino. She is the leader of all agents in this house. Everyone here is an agent except for you two. That is why we invited you here." Said Chiori.

"Pleasure to meet you both. Let me introduce myself. Yes, I am the leader of all agents and I am also Ningguang's boss. All you children have been invited here for a special surprise. Specifically for Aether. Yes, yes, I know your name and I know all things about you." Said Arlecchino. 

Aether looked at Xiao nervously and grabbed onto his hand. He was now time for a dance and Arlecchino came down the stairs with a beautiful woman dressed in white. She was a pale young woman whose eyes were always closed and covered with cross-shaped white cloth. Her long, black hair had dark pink highlights. She wore a large, white ribbon on the back of her head that was reminiscent in design of the wings of a dove. She looked absolutely beautiful, and she danced with Arlecchino, assuming they might be together. Xiao brought Aether to the dance floor and danced with him, elegantly. The blonde smiled so much as he laid his head on Xiao's shoulder, closing his eyes. 

The lights suddenly shut and it was dark. A spotlight hit on Aether and everyone looked at him, smiling and coming towards him. Xiao knew exactly what was happening, and so he grabbed Aether and tried running out the door, but Arlecchino stood in front of it. 

"Where do you think you're going with that precious gold of mine?" Said Arlecchino as she smirked.

Three young people came down the stairs. One had ears and a tail, the other was the tallest and had a top hat, and the last one had a black beret with gold decorations. They introduced themselves. Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet. They're the children of Arlecchino. They came towards Aether, while they held Xiao back, struggling to get Aether and escaped. Yet he couldn't. They pulled Aether into a chair and strapped him. Arlecchino walks up to Aether and whispers in his ear.

"You're mine.." Arlecchino whispered.

Aether grunts as he tries moving out of the chair,  he looks at Xiao, watching his tears drop. Aehter turns back and spots Scaramouche hiding behind the stairs, trying to communicate to Aether. They point a gun at Xiao and ask Aether to give himself to the agents, if he refuses, they kill Xiao. Scaramouche quickly shuts off the lights before Aether says anything. Arlecchino is confused and cannot find Aether. Scaramouche puts on his night goggles and quickly runs to Aether and unties him from the chair. The guards let go of Xiao since they couldn't see anything and Scaramouche alerted him. They all escaped the mansion and ran to a vehicle, Kazuha was the driver. They planned to go to Xiao's house but Xiao refused since the agents and Arlecchino know where he lives and it wouldn't be very safe. So they decided to go to Ningguang's mansion, Kazuha's mother. Once they arrived, Ningguang was so happy and excited to see her son, she ran and gave him a big hug.

"Oh I'm so sorry I treated you so badly. I love you Kazuha, you're my only son I don't want to lose you...w-why is everyone here?"

Xiao explains everything to her, Ningguang understood and hid them inside. She hides them in a secret room that she hasn't even told her son about and hides all of them there. After a few hours, Arlecchino knocks on Ningguang's door and Beidou opens. 

"Where are they. I know they're here." Asked Arlecchino.

"Be more specific. I do not understand who you're talking about. Who is 'they'?" Replied Beidou.

"Don't act stupid with me, Beidou." Arlecchino 

Arlecchino walks in and pushes Beidou aside. She looks everywhere and sees no sign of anyone, she frowns at Beidou and walks out. As Beidou watches Arlecchino leave, she calls out axial and the others. Anther sighs in relief and smiles at Xiao, he grabs his hand and thanks him for being around him after all this. He kiss Xiao and hugs him tightly, while Xiao gives a big smile and hugs him back. 

A year later, people have stopped hunting for Aether and started living with Xiao. They've been dating for quite some time. Xiao and Aether are walking near a giant, beautiful lake while they hold each others hand. Xiao stops and stands there looking at the water. He then suddenly gets on one knee and takes out a box from his pocket.

"Aether.. all my time I've spent with you, has been the best times yet. Being with you makes me feel myself and loved. I honestly don't know what I'd be doing right now without you. I've spent my time with you and now I want to spend my entire life with you for eternity. Aether.. will you.. marry me?.." asked Xiao as he slowly pulls up the beautiful ring.

"I-.. yes Xiao, Yes!! Oh I do want to marry you Xiao!!" Replied Aether in such joyful shouts.

Finally finished ehe. They got married and had a big wedding and cake and everything, yeah. That's the end of this story, ty for reading .😼
