Kirstie POV
I ran as slow as I possibly could so I wouldn't outrun the guys. The more I ran, the more I worried and panicked that I was going to fast.
My feet started to pick up even faster then it was before. My heart was beating regularly, feeling like I was just on an afternoon stroll... I guess. I never took one.
I see a small building far ahead from where I stood. We could probably crash there for a while, until we get this mission or whatever.
"Kirstie, slow down!" Kevin yelled what had sounded like so far behind me.
I then stop in my tracks and look behind me just to see fog. I sigh, very fustrated at the sight.
Mr. Bram, you could've at least programmed me or whatever to like, cool with the speed.
I then start running in the opposite direction, as I see color blobs appear within the polluted air. I jump with glee and wait for them at my position.
The first one to reach me was Mitch, who barely looked like any air was going to his lungs.
"You need to learn to control that." He pointed at me. He then rested both arms on his thighs, tiredly hunched over.
"Yea sorry about that, Mr. Bram didn't program that on me.." I space out as I look at the other three men jog from behind.
"I.." Kevin slurred, then collapsing tiredly on the ground. "Need a break." I shake my head and smirk a bit.
The smirm quickly fades as Mitch and I both spot something big in the distance. I tap Kevin and gesture for Scott to come near the rest of us, while Avi was alert already.
Whatever it was, its eyes were a irregular blue, and shone brighter then any regular light.
"Let's go," I say pushing the boys in front of me. They barely moved.
"GO!" I yell at them voice shaking terribly.
I guess some super adrenaline pumped through them, as they started to move faster and faster. As fast as they could possibly go.
I tried pushing and running my fastest but I don't have enough strength for that.
Going east, we found a building that I hadn't spot before, and we guided ourselves there, hopefully getting there before the creature that was chasing us did.
Talk about short lived...
I was then yanked from behind, making a loud thud. I started to kick, using my speed to my advantage. I didn't look at though, as I screamed in terror squeezing eyes shut.
Scott then came out of nowhere and tackled the creature, sending it from on all fours, to its side.
I breathed heavily, my chest going up and down rapidly. I backed away from the horrible fighting scene, Avi helping me up by my arms.
I shook my hair, making sure that there was nothing in it.
I know, my hair is gonna get dirty, but I want to at least try to keep a little decent.
I flinch as I put weight on my left leg. I tumbled back down to the ground, as Avi picked me up bridal style and carried me to Kevin, who ran down to the building. I looked back at Avi, who was running to help Scott.
He kicked the door down, resting me on an old couch, which wasn't very comfy.
Mitch appeared from behind and looked around the building suspiciously. I sighed and looked back at Kevin, who was trying to find something to do with my leg.
