2002-2009: A Peek Into The Future

Third Person's POV:

One would say life after Taehyung was hard. Jungkook likes to think that Taehyung taught him how to be to happy and how to be a person. For that he was forever grateful. There was good days and there was bad days.

For a little while after the breakup Jungkook was numb. He didnt really know how to compartmentalize what he was feeling, usually going to Taehyung for these sorts of things. But, eventually Jungkook realized good days spent with Taehyung outweighed the bad ones.

Taehyung had once told him not to live with regrets. So Jungkook, doesnt regret the time with Taehyung, not one bit. He just needed to learn how to deal with the aftermath. He went to school, reconnected with old friends, started his new season of basketball and eventually Jungkook rebuilt himself, piece by piece, and he started to feel whole again.

One would say life without Taehyung was not the greatest, but Jungkook found that with time, it did get easier. But he did not have to wait long to meet Taehyung again, and this time he was not letting him go.

~Time Skip~

"And reporting live from KBS news Sports my name is Kim Taehyung and we have an exclusive interview with the one and only Jeon Jungkook, live from Japan."

The camera pans to Jungkook, hair sweaty and golden trophy in his hand.

"Jungkook-ssi, how do you feel about bringing home gold for the last game of your career?" Jungkook smiles kindly.

"Taehyung-ssi, I feel incredibly honoured. I am so happy that I can end off on such a good note."

Taehyung nods his head in understanding, ensuring to hold eye contact with the renowned basketball player through the screen. Jungkook continues.

"If it wasn't for my team and my loved ones, this would never have been possible." Taehyung smiles tightly.

"Of course, a captain such as yourself can lead such a strong team, with your work ethic and strategy." Taehyung interviews Jungkook for a couple more minutes asking questions of the game and how other players played a role winning the game.

"Oh, and Jungkook-ssi," Taehyung says right before signing off, "Congratulations on your marriage."

"Thank you Taehyung-ssi" Jungkook said a bit shocked but smiled and waved as the line got cut off.

He thanked his managers his team, had an emotional farewell, being pampered and loaded with gifts which he somehow fit in the car. He sat in the back seat, remembering his interview with Taehyung, a smile forming on his face as the driver started the car and drove off to the hotel Jungkook is staying in.

~At Taehyung's Workplace~

As soon as the interview got over, Taehyung ended the segment with a few more news updates, and wishing his viewers a happy weekend.

"Haru-ah," Taehyung called for his manager.

"Yes, hyung-nim"

"Please cancel all my next meetings, I am taking the week off."

"Alright, I will see to it. Any big plans?"

"Yeah, I am going on a trip."

"Where?" Haru asked as Taehyung packed his things and got ready to head home.

"It's a secret," Taehyung smiled and left the room.

~Chat in Jungkook's phone~

Hubby: Jungkook-ah, when are u coming home?😙

JK: Day after tomorrow, Hyungie. Will rest in tomorrow.

Hubby: Okayyy, have a good rest. I miss you, come home soon!😢❤️
