Maya's outfit: White crop top, blue jeans, black and  white flannel, brown purse, silver necklace, white shoes, and straightened hair.

Everyone is getting on the bus. Josh walks over to Maya, who is sitting by herself.

Josh: Is this seat taken?
Maya: For you, it isn't. Now have a seat, boing

Maya scoots over, and Josh sits down next to Maya.

Josh: 6 weeks.

Maya smiles.

Maya: Let's do it.

They interlock their hands.

Josh: So Riley is sitting with Ranger Rick?

Maya smirks at Josh using her nickname for Lucas.

Maya: Yup. That huckleberry stole my best friend.
Lucas: We can hear you.
Josh: Shut it, huckleberry!

Maya and Josh laugh.

Maya: We are great together.
Josh: Definitely.

Maya lays her head on Josh's shoulder.

Maya: Josh?
Josh: Yes, Maya.
Maya: Promise, you won't leave me.

Josh looks at Maya and lifts her chin.

Josh: Maya, I like you. I'm playing the long game because I'm willing to wait until you're a little older. Maya, I made the someday deal to show you that I'm here to stay no matter what happens.
Maya: You know we're actually only 2 years apart.
Josh: How's that?
Maya: My mom put me in kindergarten a year late.
Josh: Then, I could do this.
Maya: What?

Josh kisses Maya.

Josh: We're 2 years, 1 month, and 6 weeks apart.
Maya: It's not that big of an age gap.
Josh: Our someday may come sooner.
Maya: Are you going to tell me when?
Josh: Nope.
