The night had gotten darker and with that came the cold breeze, Alex hugged his body almost, shielding his chest as much as he could with his slimmer arms.

Despite going to the party with Nick, after seeing what he thought he saw, he was not able to await for his friends to stop partying and decided to walk home. He really didn't mind the distance as perhaps he needed it to get his ideas together, so much had happened in the last thirty minutes.

"What happened? What's wrong?" Alex heard Erik's distinct voice amongst the chatter around them, he was currently leaning against a wall after hurrying out of the room that they absentmindedly went into and running to the bottom floor, next to the bathroom where they initially began their conversation.

"Sorry - it's nothing." Alex shook his head, "Just - panicked for some reason. I'm fine." Alex nodded his head, his eyes finally moving up to meet Erik's confused ones.

"You don't look fine, man, you look - shocked." Erik suggested, looking at the guy in front of him up and down. "Was it the people in the room?  Cause I don't think they saw us, they looked too busy."

"Erik - I don't care if anyone saw us, I'm out - always have been, look, I, uh, I need to go find my friends, I am so sorry about all of this!" Alex said, he quickly stood up from leaning against the wall and walked away from the blonde through the corridor towards the main entrance, passing by a few people and rushing outside, he didn't realize how much he needed the fresh air until he was met by it.

"God, where's Meera when I need her." The boy mumbled to himself, he pulled his phone from the pocket of his black trousers, ready to attempt to call his friend, he instead looked even more confused when the light shone bright on his face.

"Fuck me." He stopped himself from finishing the sentence as he turned around, not sure whether to go inside or stay put. He decided to go for the one that required less movement, less anything so he stayed put.

"Well, no need for that."  The voice broke the stressful silence, Alex turned around to be met by Kam Grant.

Kam Grant, although he was not really part of the friend group, he was one of the closest people to them besides each other. So much so that he would sit with them during lunch or spend time with them even after class when possible from time to time. He was cool.

Even to Alex, he was always extremely nice, and it didn't hurt that he was also really attractive. "Hi Kam, what are you doing here?" Alex asked whilst Kam moved to stand next to the brunet looking off into the distance whilst holding a cup of whatever he was drinking in that moment, he did look sober though, or so Alex thought.

"The same as you, I guess? Getting some air, it can get quite stuffy in there so I like to give myself breathers."

Kam's dark skin looked like it was glowing as one of the outside lights was shining right on him, his curly short hair was messier then the usual, his shirt was buttoned in a weird way, almost clumsily. "After some parties, you  kind of realise that it's all about pacing yourself. Have you been pacing yourself, Handler?"

Kam's eyes were now on the brunet next to him, Alex answered almost instantly, "Totally, Kam. I just think I'm going to go home- so if you see Nick or Miller, or even Meera could you please tell them I've left - just say I wasn't feeling the best and my mum picked me up so nothing to worry about."
