Y/N was an ordinary 17-year-old girl living in Aichiko, in the Taisho era — where demons roamed at night. Y/N stayed anonymous in her village, living with a sister and her parents. Nothing special usually happened in Aichiko village, but the whole town would know if something big happened. In Aichiko, the sun would shine brightly most of the time and even at night, so there were rarely any demon attacks. Because of this, when the Demon Slayer Corps found someone with rare Marechi blood, they would send them and their family to Aichiko for protection from demons; humans with Marechi blood are a delicacy to demons and can equal 50 to 100 regular people. Occasionally, slayers would come there to have a break from their jobs. Every day was similar, and the citizens thought nothing would change. Or would there be a change? No one can control their destiny but only wait for what fate has in store for them.
