"Alright," Liam paused and clapped his hands together, "first tip, with airys crutches you need to find the right grip or else you'll either get splinters or you'll slip and hurt your arm. I held it sorta near the back" Liam instructed calmly. Bryce adjusted his grip till he found a spot that was comfortable and shook his hand a bit to make sure it was secure. "Good," Liam said with a smile. Bryce smiled back, he noticed he'd been smiling more with Liam around. He liked that.

"Ok, what's next?" Bryce asked, looking back up at Liam.

"Ok, now, when you're trying to go forward it's a swinging motion, you want to make sure to lift them enough to not hit the ground but not too much it would be a bump to put them back down." Bryce tried to do the motion and move forward but he didn't pick up the crutches enough and got caught on a small pebble, causing him to fall forward.

As he fell he tried to catch itself with his hands but the crutches were wedged in so he couldn't. However, before Bryce could hit the ground Liam caught him. Bryce looked up at Liam who was looking at him. A slight blush grew on Liam cheeks before he looked away. Bryce wondered what that was about.

"Ok, get off now my arms are getting tired," he said, getting tired from holding Bryce.

"O-oh yeah" Bryce responded as he got up. He tried to be careful as he got up but he kept stumbling and almost falling. Luckily he was able to get stable on his crutches without falling.

"Thanks for uh catching me" Bryce looked off to the side as he spoke nonchalantly, a bit embarrassed.

"O-oh yeah no problem" Liam smiled. He looked into Bryce's eyes for a bit before quickly looking away. "Um I think you should try using the crutches again." He said, changing the subject. Bryce nodded and looked down, checking the ground for anymore pebbles. After surveying the land he tried again. This time he did make it.

"Hm, easier then I thought" he said as he smiled at Liam. Liam smiled back and Bryce made a few more steps as Liam instructed him on what to do.

Bryce proved to be a quick learner, only falling a few times. After about an hour of teaching Bryce could maneuver pretty well. At least well enough to get by daily life in this death place. After they finished training, Liam offered to tour Bryce around where the waterfall is. He needed to go up there to collect more reeds for Bryce's bed anyway. Bryce obviously agreed, curious as to what it looked like up there and also maybe a tad of wanting to spend more time with Liam.

"Careful as you go up, it's hard to go up slanted things," Liam hollered over to Bryce, a few feet ahead of him, walking backwards to face Bryce and watch over him. Bryce nodded his head as he looked at the ground, making sure not to trip.

Bryce eventually got confident enough and started to look around. He could see grey stones and green grass to his right as he slowly advanced up the slope. To the left a flat small field with a cabin and fireplace surrounded by dark forest and a cave. He began to wonder if the forest was scary at night. Though Bryce was not usually one to get scared there was one thing that scared him pretty bad. Dark forests. Wich was definitely not good for where he'd be living for who knows how long.

"Hey, uh, on a scale of 1 to 10 how scary- er, dark-" he corrected, "-would you say the forests get at night?" He asked Liam, who was a few feet ahead. He didn't want to tell Liam he was afraid of dark forests. He thought it made him seem weak.

"Oh um I guess I never really thought about it but they do get pretty dark. Sometimes it all just looks like one big blob of darkness. Doesn't bother me though" Liam responded, he was walking semi-sideways so Bryce could hear better what he was saying and he could still see ahead.

"Oh...thanks," Bryce murmured, now scared at the thought of the forests at night. He looked over to the forests and kind of inched his walking a bit away. 'I'll have to see them anyway' he thought to himself as he pushes away the thought of the forests and trees that for some reason now seemed very tall.

As Liam and Bryce reached their destination Bryce sat down immediately on the nearest spot, realizing how tired he was. After relaxing for a few seconds he looked around. He firstly saw lots of trees, his mind circled back to what they looked like at night but he quickly pushed the thought away. He then looked to the left and saw a bridge, some slow flowing water, and...a water fall. Bryce stared for a few seconds. It looked bigger up here, more secure, it looked calm. Bryce knew that it wasn't calm. It was dangerous, no matter how nice it looked.
