It had been almost 1 year and 4 almost months since Honyx's birthday school had now started back up and Honor was dreading today considering it would be A'jahnies first day back him and Honor hadn't talked in 15 months.
After that night Honor and him had started having a summer fling but as soon as school started back up A'Jahnie went to live with his grandparents in Mississippi and he hadn't reached out to her since. At first she thought maybe he couldn't and he didn't have service but that was quickly shut down when he had called her brother that weekend.
She went through a spiral of emotions after, coming to the conclusion something had to be wrong with her. She took three months reinventing herself if you asked her she would say she had a "glow up". She started letting her natural hair grow out, putting effort into her appearance, lost some weight and became more outgoing and social.
"I don't even have to go" Honor spoke to herself. "Your going" her best friend Niyah said through the phone."B-but" Honor began to speak but was interrupted by her brother barging in her room. "Am I dropping you off or you taking the bus?" He said. "We're taking the bus why would you ask that" Niyah said looking at him with a mug.
"Your gonna have to see him anyway, I don't know why your avoiding it". Honor looked up from looking at her freshly manicured nails. "I'm not, I just don't wanna ride in your nasty ass car I don't know what you be doing in there" Honor said causing Honyx to smack his teeth "Alright, fuck you too" he said leaving the her room.
"His aggy ass" Honor said while Laniyah laughed through the phone. "Alright well I'll see you at school love you best" Honor wrapped up her call so she wouldn't be late to the bus.
Honor sighed sliding on her Nimbus cloud, 574 core New Balences. Putting her hair in a low ponytail leaving two pieces hanging infront of her face how she liked it. She headed down the stairs so she could fill up her cream colored Stanley cup before she left for school.
Stepping up the stairs she walked straight into the kitchen filling her cup up so she could exit her house. Bringing her phone to her face she saw that the time read 6:18 her bus came roughly around 6:22. She grabbed her ID, backpack, and house keys knowing Honyx probably wouldn't be home when she was.

Honor and Laniyah sat outside the school patiently waiting for the school gates to open. "Honor?" Laniyah spoke in a questioning tone making Honor look up in confusion. "What are you gonna say to him when you see him?" she looked at Honor with genuine concern.
