Chapter 1 part 3

Sleepy was sitting on the ground with one knee, protecting Jay in his arms, in case his powers gave up on him. When he knew Oscar was gone, he let the invisibility barrier down. Jay opened their eyes and looked at Sleepy, who still held them in his arms. "I didn't know you had powers in you, apart from transformation" Jay said and Sleepy realised he was still holding them. He let Jay down and they let go from Sleepy as well. Jay looked above Sleepy a little and they saw a black broken halo around his head that had appeared. "Gamer told us that you have never opened your powers. Did you just open them when you wanted to save me?" Jay said, amazed. Sleepy just looked at them sitting on their knees in front of him as he still sat on one knee on the grass. He got up and offered his hand for Jay, not responding to their question. They took it and Sleepy helped Jay up. Sleepy showed with his hand to get on his back so he could run them away from there. Jay jumped on Sleepy's back and Sleepy started to run. They ran for long and rented a place to stay the night out of the city.

As Sleepy got to the bed, he instantly fell asleep. Jay sat on the other bed and took out their phone.

Empty darkness surrounded Sleepy as he floated in an empty dark void. He felt like he was not alone. "So you are here again. Will you finally accept my offer?" a voice echoed in the void. "I refuse to take your offer" Sleepy said and he realised he was able to talk. He touched his face, not feeling the mask there. "I have noticed you've changed a lot since I saw you last time" The voice seemed so smiling. "What do you mean?" Sleepy looked around, trying to find the source of the voice. "You have gained feelings for a pathetic human being" a creature appeared from nowhere in front of Sleepy.

"Is that a problem?" Sleepy glared at the creature that looked exactly like him, but somehow different. "Do you remember what humans did to you? They abandoned you, left you on the streets and I was the one who kept you alive, because you hadn't accepted your fate" the creature said. "These people I have met have helped me. They cheered me up, especially Jay. They took care of me with all they got, and yet still they hadn't given up on helping" Sleepy yelled and wanted to grab the creature's collar, but he couldn't move. "You're weak, just like two years ago" The creature dropped the smile. "Remember when we first found each other in this place, exactly two years ago? You didn't accept my offer of gaining all the power in the world even though I told you that you will die if you keep the power inside you for long enough. In hopes to find your beloved from years ago, yet still here you are, looking for a person who is dead" the creature spun around Sleepy slowly. "I-I didn't kill them, it wasn't my fault!! I had nothing to do with them!" Sleepy yelled, holding his head in his hands. "You're afraid you will hurt Jay the same way you hurt the little girl in the accident years ago, aren't you?" The creature came up to Sleepy. "NO NO NO NO!!!! The incident wasn't my fault!! I didn't kill anyone!" Sleepy yelled, tears dropping on his thighs. "I would never hurt them!!" Sleepy cried. He realised that he had never cried that much in his life as he had now. Sleepy looked at his shaking hands and in a blink of an eye, he saw Jay hold his shaky hands and they looked worried. They didn't have their mask on and they looked extremely scared and worried but still sat in front of Sleepy and held his hands and looked up at him. Sleepy grabbed Jay into a tight hug. "Are you alright buddy? You seem scared. Did you have a nightmare?" Jay asked as they hugged Sleepy back.

Sleepy slowly tightened his grip on Jay. "S-Sleepy? You're hurting me a little-" Jay said a little out of breath. "YES!! KILL THEM!! KILL THEM NOW!!" the voice inside Sleepy's head yelled.

"I REFUSE!! YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT TO ME, BUT I WILL NOT LET YOU MAKE ME KILL THEM!!" Sleepy yelled in his mind to the voice. Jay felt something drop on their cheek. They looked up and saw Sleepy crying silently and they immediately knew that something wasn't right. Sleepy let go of Jay and looked around to see if they were safe. He looked then back at Jay who was worried seeing him cry and Sleepy pat them. Jay hadn't taken off their white rose spike -headband, so he had to pat around it.

"So how are you and Sleepy related?" Teal turned to Gamer who was stretching his arms and his back towards Teal. "I used to be his friend, and the one who saved him" he answered. "Mind to elaborate?" Teal raised an eyebrow as he changed the band aid on his cheek. "Two years ago, when Kirdy, well how you call him, Sleepy, had gotten his mask, he became lifeless and lost his will to live. He had nothing, no family, no friends, no voice to speak or no way to escape. I felt bad for him since I was his friend, so one night I sneaked towards his cell or what people there call it, his room and opened the door with a stolen key. I left the door open but made it look like it was still locked. I made a note for him and told him to escape and destroy the note after he had read it. He did so and later that night he was gone, he had found his freedom. But as long as the mask is still in one piece, people in the lab and people with tracking powers like me and Oscar can find him. It has to be destroyed and no men can track him down any longer" Gamer explained. "How do you know it will work? I mean break the mask" Teal wondered. "I broke mine, but it was an advance to me, nobody could track me down any longer but I still decided to work for them but under someone else" Gamer sighed. "What is your mask?" Teal got up from his couch. "The one and only Black horror mask" Gamer turned to Teal, showing the broken black mask with purple glowing eyes.

Jay let their black and red hair down and put their headband away on a desk. They took off their black jacket and took off their shoes. They turned around to look at peacefully sleeping Sleepy in his own bed now. Jay looked outside to the rain and the thunderstorm and went to rest on their bed, calming themselves down from earlier. They had called Teal and Gamer and got to know that they were both fine and alive since Oscar had disappeared from the fight. Jay went to lay on the bed and when they did the thunder's light showed a tall figure standing between Sleepy's and Jay's beds, looking down at Jay with a creepy smile on their face.

Sleepy woke up and didn't see Jay anywhere. He saw their mask, headband, white bow and their black jacket on the desk. Fear filled him completely and he didn't know what to do. He jumped off his bed and looked around the room where they would be with no results. Sleepy was about to run outside the door but stopped himself before he could run out. He turned around to look at the desk where Jay's things were and went to grab their jacket and mask and ran out. "Let me take control Kirdy, you know I can find them fast" the voice in Sleepy's head said. "No, I won't let you. You will kill them when you see them to get power over me" Sleepy answered as he ran. "I also don't need your help, I know exactly where they are" he looked at Jay's mask.
