Charlotte turned to Engfa with a mix of gratitude and concern etched across her features. "Engfa, would you... would you like to come to my apartment?" she asked hesitantly, her voice laced with genuine concern.
Engfa's eyes widened in surprise at the invitation, but she quickly masked her emotions with a grateful smile. "That would be... appreciated," she replied.
With a silent nod, Charlotte led the way through the winding streets, Engfa following closely behind. The journey was short but tense, both women lost in their own thoughts.
As they finally reached Charlotte's apartment, Engfa couldn't shake the growing sense of unease that gnawed at her insides. She knew what she was, what she needed, and she dreaded the confrontation.
Once inside, Charlotte turned to Engfa, her expression filled with genuine concern. "Is everything okay?" she asked softly, reaching out to gently touch Engfa's arm.
Engfa forced a smile, her mind racing as she struggled to maintain her composure. "I'm fine," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
But Charlotte wasn't convinced. She could see the tension in Engfa's posture, the uncertainty in her eyes. "Engfa, please," she urged, her voice tinged with worry. "You can trust me. Whatever it is, you can tell me."
Engfa hesitated, her resolve crumbling in the face of Charlotte's unwavering kindness. "I... I need to go," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
But Charlotte wouldn't let her leave without an explanation. With a gentle touch, she made Engfa face her, her gaze searching. "Please," she pleaded softly. "Let me help you."
Engfa hesitated, her gaze flickering away for a moment before meeting Charlotte's eyes once more. "I'm fine," she replied, her voice strained.
But Charlotte could see through the facade. She noticed the crimson hue creeping into Engfa's eyes, a silent confession of her true nature. "You're a vampire," Charlotte whispered shocked.
Engfa's breath caught in her throat, her mind racing as she searched for a response. "How did you...?"
"I know more about vampires than you think," Charlotte interrupted gently. "And I can see that you're struggling. You need blood."
Engfa recoiled slightly, a mixture of fear and shame clouding her expression. "I can't... I don't want to feed from you," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
Charlotte's expression softened, her resolve unwavering. "You don't have to," she said softly. "But you can't ignore your needs either."
With a sense of resignation, Engfa nodded, her defenses crumbling in the face of Charlotte's unwavering kindness. "Okay," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
And without another word, Charlotte offered her neck to Engfa, a silent invitation. With trembling hands, Engfa accepted, her fangs sinking into Charlotte's skin as she drank deeply, her hunger finally sated, if only for a moment.
"Now you belong to me," Engfa said while smirking a little, making Charlotte blush.
