Her heart was all numb and deep down in it was very little hope just like one lit lantern in the deep dark sky. Her hands occupied with a big platter of delicious broccoli with carrot and chicken legs to be dipped in three different mouthwatering sauces not made with her hand but her heart was warm as hell but she held it with no difficulty. Bangs coming out of her tightly done ponytail and landing on her sweaty forehead.
Her pierced ears heard these words "You may present your dish Susan" by a tall fat man standing in front of a timber wood table with a fork and knife placed with a napkin neatly on it.A cold breeze as of from an ocean nearby hit her, although it was not from an ocean but from a 5 star AC adjusted in the big hall where everyone was standing. Susan stepped forward towards the three judges and presented her dish. Susan couldn't find a smile on Mr.David's face but after he was introduced with the menu, he seemed a bit interested in the sweet and sour platter. He grabbed the knife and fork and stared deeply at the grilled chicken leg. He dipped one of the grilled chicken legs in Italian sauce and took a mouthful bite. As he started chewing heavily on the chicken bit in his mouth he had a confused expression on his face. Susan knew it already that she was eliminated from the Haloowe Kitchen.
Mr.David left his place in order to give Ms.Ashley a chance to taste Susan's dish. She tasted the carrots and left. Then came the main judge who had the authority of judging the dish and deciding the fate of the contestent. And here stood right in front of the timber wood table Mr.Rackson Woods. After he carefully examined the grilled chicken he stood straight and with an angry look on his face and said those killing words which made Susan take of her beloved apron off and give it to whom it belonged. The girl who was happily and excitedly taking and wearing the apron with a gold badge on it was named Sally.
Another breeze of very warm air hit her and indeed it was deep in her heart not on her body. Susan was confused when the audience clapped and hooted for Sally on becoming the new chef of the Haloowe Kitchen. Susan knew that this title for never for Sally who cheated in the competition but it belonged to her because she wanted it so bad and played a fair and square game. Susan not willingly went out from the large glass door and sat in a black tab which took her to the bus stop and then she took a bus and left on a station from which she walked to her apartment.
Susan opened her door lock and jumped right to her room and cried so hard that the empty place was shaking. Since poor Susan lived alone and was an orphan so nobody except the walls and doors was there for her.
Susan spent the next few days at her apartment doing nothing but crying over what she lost. It was her only opportunity to be the best chef of the place in Paris and become famous and not only that but also to achieve her biggest dream of cooking as a chef.
