Note:
Hey guys! So, here I am with a new chapter, after a week. Sorry for being a little bit late, I have some things going on in my life, which are, unfortunately, not going well and I am really stressed right now, dealing with all that.
Writing is my passion, and probably that's why writing this story, receiving your lovely comments about it- gives me immense peace of mind even in these hard times.
However, due to all these I don't have enough time to translate the story right now. I am sorry, I know I promised I would do this, but right now I don't have enough time or energy left. I will try to complete the translation in future tho, but I can't specify when right now, I am really really sorry!Anyway, I hope you like this chapter, happy reading! :)
P.s: Shout out to the best ever bff, Ms.SB Heelshire, not only for being the first reviewer of the story but also for being here for me...love you.

Scent of a Man
Chapter 7: Scent of an IllusionWhen Ishan opened the door to a very anxious looking Hardik, it was around 10 on the clock.
The first thing Hardik blurted out as soon as he stepped inside was, "Tu thik hain na?"
Ishan was a bit taken aback by the intense concern in his voice and the look of worry on his face.
He gently put his hand on Hardik's shoulder and gave a reassuring tap,"Haan thik hu main, par aapko kya huya?"Hardik let out a sigh of relief, and put his hand over Ishan's.
"Mujhe laga tujhe kuchh huya hoga", he admitted.
"Kyun?", Ishan was genuinely puzzled.
"Nahi kuchh nahi, bass yuhin laga, achanak se message kiya na tune isiliye", Hardik tried his best to hide the fact that he got extremely worried to see Ishan's message coming in just after seeing Shub's post on instagram. He thought probably Ishan was facing another emotional breakdown or something. But it was so relieving to find out that was not the case. But it was really not an easy task to fool Ishan.
"Aapne Shub ka post dekha na?", he prodded.
"N-nahi, matlab ki, ki", Hardik was visibly flustered,"Matlab, haan, dekha tha."Ishan smirked lightly, "Pareshan mat hoiye, ab insab cheezo se bura nahi manne ka hi try kar raha hu", he sighed, "After all ab yehi to expected hain."
Hardik gave a delicate pat on Ishan's hand, unsure of what else to do.Once both of them settled on the bed, Ishan started again,"Dekhiye bhaiya...ahhhh sorry", he immediately smacked his forehead, "Tab se galat bol raha hu! Tum tum tum, bas tum aur no bhaiya!"
Hardik grinned cheekily, how adorable Ishan was looking right now!
Ishan, noticing the playful smile, felt a warm blush creep up to his cheeks. Still, he pushed on."Kya tum sachhi me mujhse pyaar karte ho, Hardik?", he didn’t beat around the bush any more and asked bluntly; the answer to this question was the most vital thing to him for now.
Hardik was completely astounded. He never expected this question from Ishan, atleast right now, in the middle of all this fiasco. The answer to the question was crystal clear to him, but he was not sure how much his answer would matter to Ishan.
Should he lie? Should he just say he liked him, had a crush on him or something and hide the fact that from the moment he first set his eyes on Ishan, he had never been able to look at anyone else in quite the same way? From that moment he knew Ishan was the one! But day after day he had to lock up his feelings and wear a mask in front of everyone. No one knew how his heart raced faster everytime Ishan came too close, how he couldn't take his eyes off Ishan whenever he changed in the dressing room, how he had to control himself from punching Shubman everytime he had seen both of them hanging out together.
Should he keep all of these a secret once again?
