A calming hum met Harry's ear, the tune of it passing over the silent corridor like an intrusive showtune. It was for lack of better words, coming from an ominous source and Harry had enough ominous sources chasing his ass all around London.
The mystery figure's voice drifted away suddenly, a small collective relief, but Harry was not naïve enough to believe Hex would have given up searching for him like that.
She also wouldn't be humming a song from Cinderella's musical either
Harry thought sarcastically, trying to see how far away the other human was. It didn't sound far, which is why it left Harry concerned.
"There's no need to be afraid, Harry. I'm not here to hurt you; but I also need your help." The known voice spoke, his calm demeanor leaving Harry to swallow down his bile.
"Why would I help you? It's your fault this is happening to me, isn't it? I just wanted to visit my mum. Next thing I know, my hands are being bound up behind me, my mouth is covered by someone's hand and then I'm being gagged with a scarf and when I blink, I'm in a cold room being intimidated by this very frightening young girl." He summed up his night, moving closer to listen to what the other man had to say.
The other male chuckled.
"Lavender Hex are all those things and much, much more. However, that is also why I choose you. Because I know that despite her being scary, she also has a weak spot when it comes to those whom fall into her web. So, I had Ryan change the description of the perp that they were after and this is where you reply with 'yes sir, what can I do to help?'" He moved into the room, a smirk spreading over his lips when he saw where Harry was crouched.
"I don't have a lot of time. Tomlinson and Malik are heading this way, so you do this for me and I'll see to it that your mum remains comfortable and safe. If you don't well..." He trailed off, shrugging carelessly. "Can't promise you your mum will see next week or your sis for that matter. If you want to keep them safe –"
"FUCK YOU!" Harry screamed, popping to a standing position the same time he heard footsteps. Sir raised his hands with another shrug.
"Be it me to try and change your mind, Harry. However, I would look in on your mum on occasion. We wouldn't want any...accidents, would we?" He asked cryptically before hearing footsteps run closer. He bolted out down the hall and into the stairwell. Harry stood there panting a few moments, watching Louis and Zayn swear. They had to duck low to enter the hall and again to enter into the room Harry had stashed himself away in.
"Are you alright lad?" Louis asked, noticing Harry was running his fingers nervously through his hair. Zayn picked up the receiver, his phone in the other hand.
"Sent you the coordinates. We're going to need backup." Zayn says calmly into his receiver, eyeing Harry cautiously.
"He threatened my mum. I can't – he...I can't leave my mum. Sister either, he threatened – who..." Harry stuttered, eyeing both Louis and Zayn. "Why are you doing this? What do you want from me? I didn't do anything wrong." Harry cried, his green orbs flashing desperately from one gang member to the other. His voice cracked painfully, it sounded desperate; even to his own ears.
Louis took a step forward, watching Harry take one back.
"We'll explain all that back at base. Come on lad, don't make this difficult. You know why you can't stay." Louis sighed, feeling bad for the younger lad.
"THAT MAN THREATENED MY SICK MUM! The FUCK I'm going anywhere until you answer MY query! I need to be there to protect my mum and sister. Please! This was your mistake, why don't you fix it?" Harry begged, watching Zayn's eyes harden.
