It's morning at Itan Private High School
Tadano, Komi, Hito, Shoko, and Sonoda are in their seats.
Sonoda watches as they start to tremble, which catches him off guard.
Sonoda - ! "What's the matter?"
They start to tremble more.
They decided to just do it.
All four gave Sonoda a letter.
Sonoda opens it.
Sonoda - "What are they so nervous about telling me?"
Sonoda got a dad joke from the trio.
"Cats make purrfect pets. - Tadano"
"When a clock is hungry, it goes back four seconds. - Komi"
"How do celebrities stay cool? They have a lot of fans. - Hito"
"What do you call two ducks and a cow? Quackers and milk. - Shoko"
Communication 29: Jokes
Tadano and Hito had seen something on TV that aired yesterday that said jokes that are important for communication, and texted Komi and Shoko about it. They all wrote a joke they had heard recently.
Sonoda - "You should try to do something more situational, those jokes are funnier."
They did.
They all gave Sonoda a note, which said the same thing. " 'Tis the season for purse snatching."
They were nervous about presenting their jokes to Sonoda, and were more surprised when they realized that they all wrote the same thing.
Sonoda - It is muggy out...
Sonoda - "Hey... some jokes do better when spoken out loud."
(Which, in some cases, they do.)
Komi leaves the room.
Sonoda gets a call from his phone.
Komi - "Al-alumin-num can do w-what tin c-can't."
Hito leaves the room.
Sonoda gets another call from his phone.
Hito - "W-W-W-What... d-d-d-do y... you c-c-c-c-call a... f-f-f-fake n-n-n-noodle...? An I...-Im-Im...-Impasta."
Shoko leaves the room.
Sonoda gets a third call, from Shoko this time.
Shoko - "W-W-W-Why... d-did the c-cookie go to the d-d-doctor? it w-w-was f-feeling... c-c-crumby."
Tadano then leaves the room, but then immediately came back, dejected.
Sonoda - "No joke?"
The others came back.
Komi, Hito, Shoko - "Was our jokes funny?"
Sonoda - They were dad jokes! But, honestly, yeah... "Yeah..."
Najimi - "Good morning! It's so humid today!"
Najimi to the rescue.
Najimi - "Anyway, I found these creepy notes in my locker."
There was a note from Komi, Hito, Shoko, and Tadano, all with the same joke on them.
They read, "Where do bombs stay on vacation? A boom with a view."
Najimi figured out the situation.
Najimi - "Oh. I thought they were some sort of death codes threatening to kill me."
Komi, Hito, Shoko, Tadano - ?!
