The world was so happy and bright and full of sunshine
When I thought ignorance was bliss
But little did I knew what was right in front of me
The real truth

I felt a joy like I had never felt before
And thought that life was a dream
But that was before the world came crumbling down
And the truth became harsh and real

You ask me "if I was a color what color would I be?"
I say yellow
Cause yellow is the color of happiness and sun
And color what's in black and white
But the truth is
Yellow is also the color of the lie

The world is full of lies and betrayal
So many times my heart has been trampled
But no more
I'm standing up for what I believe in
I'm no longer going to bend

The happiness and joy I had once found
It felt like I'll never find them again
But now I know there's better things ahead
I'm strong and I know who I am

I know I am not that naive little girl
That used to live in ignorance
But I'm no longer afraid
I know my worth and I'll never allow my self to get trampled again

I know I've been through so much
It felt like I'm never gonna see the end
But the storm will pass and the sun will shine
I don't care what anyone says
