It's been five years since the outbreak. And I'm happy to say that the world was cleansed of the virus, and life as we know is still around on Earth. Now for an update on Sodor and the engines.
I'm still the controller and I'm still in charge of the railway and so is Mr. Percival of the Skarloey railway. The crews of the engines underwent therapy and are all doing well. Especially Bob, he is doing so much better and so is Thomas. He's still happily working on his branchline with his faithful coaches. As for the others; Percy, Toby, Gordon, Donald, Douglas, Oliver, Diesel, Derek, Harvey, Spencer, Molly, Neville, Rosie, Whiff, Billy and Hank are all still in service too and still working to this very day. Although the engines who sadly died did need to be replaced, and I did so and the engines got along with the newcomers swimmingly. They even accepted them as family which warmed my heart.
As for the little engines. Skarloey, Peter Sam, Rusty and Duke are also all still in service with the dead friends also being replaced by newcomers. Sodor may not be the same way it was ever again, but the memories, engines and lost friends will always live on forever and ever.

ActionThis is just something I decided to whip up considering the first story never got a part two. So I wouldn't exactly consider this canon. But this is how I imagine the ending to Sodor: Left for Dead.
