Faragonda POV
I sighed as I poured over the reports of dark magic, sightings of old enemies, news of Cloud Towers newest, and strongest students. Myself and the other members of the Company of Light are much to old to be fighting these battles now. And the Winx are all busy with their own kingdoms. This year we must find a new group of promising young fairies to fight the battles we thought we had left behind.*Brrr-ing*
The ringing bell. It signified the arrival of new students, and the return of old ones. As I pulled myself out of my seat, my aging bones creaking with the effort, I caught a glimpse of some of the arrivals.
Striking red hair, a crown, a deep blue dress. Next to the woman was a girl in a gorgeous red outfit, with pure blonde hair. Behind the two stood guards. Eraklyon guards. Bloom was back, and she had brought her daughter.
Bloom POV
I stepped out of the ship with my daughter on my arm. Ember fixed her skirt, upset that she had been made to wear the long fabric, as opposed to her usual shorter style. As we entered the campus I scanned the faces of the parents present, noticing a few familiar faces from my own days as a student. I recognized sweet Alice and her energetic friend Clarice from my first year as a teacher. Near them I spotted Galatea and Kaie, fairies that had attended the same year as me.
To my left I heard a familiar voice that I had missed hearing for many years now.
"Bloom!" A stunning blonde fairy called out, rushing to my side. A brunet man was on her arm with twin girls trailing behind.
"Stella!" I hugged my old friend tight and turned to acknowledge the man that now stood behind her. "Brandon. It is so good to finally see the two of you again. And your daughters! They have gotten so big!"
Brandon nodded to me, a smile on his face. "We've missed you as well. And Sky? Where is he?" He asked the question, looking around for my husband.
I ushered my daughter to my side. "Sky is at Red Fountain with my son. I came her with my daughter. You remember Ember don't you?" My daughter stood stiff, having only met my friends once, when she was quite small.
Stella cheered and pulled her own daughters forward. "Ah yes! Shame we haven't been able to introduce our daughters properly. You'd think we would have attend enough balls that we'd see each other more often, but, no matter." She pointed at her eldest daughter, a brunette like her father. "This is Selene, and this," she pointed to the youngest, a blonde like her, "is Soliel."
I smiled and shook the girls hands. "Pleasure to properly meet you two. This is my daughter, Ember." I pulled her forward to shake their hands as well before stepping aside to let them socialize while I spoke with Stella.
"Do you know if the others will be joining us today? I haven't seen any of them in forever." I smiled, thinking about my friends. The last time I saw any of them was three months ago. Flora had stopped by after the birth of my youngest. She had left soon after though so we didn't get to talk much.
Stella mulled over the question for a second, trying to recall what she knew. "Flora should be coming with her daughter. Helia will be at Red Fountain with their boys. Techna and Timmy will both be at Red Fountain for their son. Aisha will be coming here with her girls, Nabu will be going to Red Fountain for the boys. Musa will be coming here with her daughter. Riven will be at Red Fountain with their son." She stopped momentarily to count on her fingers. "Oh! And Roxy is coming all the way from Tir Na Nog with her child."
I smiled knowing how many children will be attending this year. "And I believe Daphne said her son will attend Red Fountain this year. So that means all of us will have students this year."
Before Stella could respond, we heard the roar of more ships landing. Out of them stepped some very familiar, and sorely missed faces.
"Flora! Musa! Aisha! Roxy! Daphne!" Stella called out to our friends as they ran over with their own children.
The girls cheered as they embraced us, their children hanging back, unfamiliar with us and each other.
We engaged in small talk for a period of time as more ships pulled up to the school. Our children hung back with their bags, not yet willing to talk to each other, nor willing to leave us and explore the school.
*Brrr-ing*
"Come on now children. It's time for orientation."
