Reyna

It was late afternoon when I left the village until the night, hoping not to run into her. At least I think I was trying not to, but I just couldn't take her off my mind. A part of me kept hoping she did follow me, that she would jump on me and kiss me so hard.

I thought I was going to wait out those hours in the woods, but I found another village and had the idea to wait there. It would be better to wait around people in case she tries to hurt me. Unless she wants to fuck me and then I'm all in for it.

This village had different architecture.
It was mostly gray and full of stone while the other was mostly wood. This village had taller buildings, might even be three floors, which is one more than the last one. I liked the last one more, but this village was just as majestic.

The sun was just starting to set, and  was even prettier than before.
I looked at the sky and stared. There were all kinds of colors filling up the sky. The orange and pink with some touches of yellow, all while I couldn't even look at the middle where the sun actually was. It was mesmerizing.

The orange reminded me of her beautiful warm brownish- hazel eyes and instead of the sun, I started imagining her.
Imagining how I would carress her soft skin, lay kisses on her lips and down as much as she would let me.
How I would stare at her for hours and have time to remember and memorize every part of her.

I don't know how long I have been standing like that, appreciating her beauty, but it must have been long since I only came back to my senses when a man bumped into me.

He didn't apologize to me which is very rude, but when I looked at him and began to say I don't appreciate that, I noticed he was actually running towards something. I was stupid for checking what it was, but I did anyway.

A carriage with the symbol of the kingdom was parked in the middle of the village with some villagers around it.

As expected, royal knights came out of it, but surprisingly, I recognized one.
Matthias.

As one of the higher ranked royal guards. I have met him a few times. Most of those times were when I was a kid and the king wanted him to teach me self-defense, and some were when no guards were available and someone had to make sure I don't escape.

Thankfully, I have a way with faces, and I always recognize people I have met. He was probably concerned from whatever reason brought him here, since he did not recognize me back.

"Why would they come" a female voice said.

"Last time the guards were here was years ago" another one whispered.

"It must be the princess" the third person, a male this time, answered.

The people of the village must have kept going but by now I wasn't listening.

They were here for me.

"Attention! The princess is missing. If she will be brought to the palace alive, the one who brought her would get a bag full of coins." Matthias said, looking into the crowd looking for clues in the villagers's faces. Luckily je didn't look at my direction.

The king wants me alive, which shows weakness. He needs me for some reason, probably to keep this pretend family.

It is funny to me how he acts as if I am his daughter, and not a monster and the creature he hates most. He killed my entire kind, my entire family as well and he still hopes I would love him. How stupid of him.

I am a monster, I accepted that. I know I am, and I know I am not a princess, but if I know one thing- I am not his daughter. Not now, and not ever. Not by blood and not by choice. Never.
