Howard was about to leave the shield when he heard that two men had been seen dead in a shield that was not supposed to be, and the description of one of the men sounded like Howard Potts. Howard went back to the place where he had last seen Mr. Potts. Lucky for him. Mr Potts was still there, and he was talking to another man that he assaulted, the other man they were looking for. " you got the tesseract." The other man asked Mr. Potts, and he nodded, holding up the briefcase. Howard acted fast and ran up to grab the case, but Mr. Potts wouldn't let go." You are not taking that!"
Mr Potts tries to get Howard to let go, but he has a firm grip and refuses." Howard, please, as your friend, let go; we will bring it back." Howard looked at the other man in confusion until it hit him." Steve?" But before Howard could question how Steve Rogers was here, he felt Mr Potts grab him." We don't have time for this." There was a flash, and Howard found himself in a place that looked like it was a part of the movie. People he didn't recognize were all around him, and the big green one scared him." Anthony Edward Stark! What did you do!" Howard froze at what Steve Called Mr Potts." He wasn't going to let go, so I made a decision, and we can send him back when we are done."

Steve takes Howard to a different room and expands everything that is happening. He was in the future, and his son Tony was the one who figured out time travel. There was a purple alien that used stones called the infinity stone to eliminate Half of every life form, and Steve's new team was tasked to retrieve the stones from the past so they could use the stone's powers to reverse what Thanos had done.
