Chapter 1
Year 3

"As expect of Malfoys."

---

It was the first time she had encountered the one and only Draco of Malfoy's house. Though it was not quite a good first impression for her regarding this silver-haired. Being pushed to the floor with heavy books was one thing, but the unpleasantness of her image to the passer-by was what made it a horrible encounter for Camellia Rose.

"It's Rose !"

She heard the two of Malfoy's minions whisper, and she dreaded to hear her name being said by them in such a way. She had made a reputation of herself to be plummeted by this arrogant Malfoy.

"I'm sorry, Rose !" She barely heard what the silver-haired was saying, but she immediately pulled her arm from him as he was the one who helped her up.

"That's why, no running in the hallway !"

Her voice was not that high, yet coming from Camellia Rose, the famous calm and collected Slytherin third-year student made Draco Malfoy stand there in shame.

He could only watch as Camellia walked away, hugging huge books in her arms acting like nothing happened. Though, he noticed how tense her shoulders were.

Out of anyone, he did not want to be on the wrong page in Rose's book.

Well, first thing first, his father wanted him to befriend the sole daughter of house Rose, one of the important family figures in the Ministry and the whole of the Wizarding World.

Rose's household was a noble that climbed up to be on par with the Malfoy one day. As the name suggests, their magic was widely revolved around plants. They bred the plants and could command them at will.

The plants in the garden, and when they attended herbology, were quite fond of Camellia. It was truly a breathtaking sight to see roses and camellias extend their stems to be by her side, though it was quite scary to see an alive plant with stems covered with thorns.

'How do I apologize to Rose ? This is all Potter's fault !'

He thought. Well, he was running in the hallway as he was on his way to once again watch Harry Potter being caught red-handed by the professors. As his plan was ruined one after another, he decided to go back to the common room, not at his best at the moment.

Camellia Rose was on her way to the library to return the grimoires she borrowed for her study of plants and insects.

"Here are the books. I'm sorry there's a bit of dent.." She apologized, her fingers going over a small bent on the spine of the books.

"It's quite alright, young one. Having to see a child like you put your time into herbology is refreshing. Most of the children focused on flashy spells when there's more to magic." The librarian smiled, softly tapping Camellia's chubby cheek with her finger, making the young girl touch the place.

"I am of the Rose's house, it's natural to be in this field."

"Just like your mother, you are."

She smiled at the mention of her mother. After turning in the grimoires she borrowed, she went to find a book on certain topics that relate to insects.

As she strolled through the aisle, scanning the books for the one she was searching for, her steps halted on a certain book. The title of the book reflected in her eyes, her heartbeat on a steady rhythm as her whole body tensed, even her breath could be heard.
