Chapter 2 - Another?

After a long bit of walking Elanor felt tired since her body was still frail and she wasn't getting exercise while she was in her apartment. Kyle was a little bit in front of Elanor trying to explain what he did in the world witch was basically kill all monsters in this world he sees and try to find as many humans he can find to help them get on there feet. Elanor was looking around and making sure none of the monsters are around, Elanor was a bit surprised since she thought there would be more monsters around but there were almost none. Kyle looks back at Elanor and notices her confusion deciding to speak up "Your wondering why there are no monsters around, aren't you?" Kyle says while he continued to look ahead of him with a soft smile on while Elanor was shocked that Kyle knew what was on her mind "I already took care of this place for now, usually there are more but while I was on my way here I cleared it out." Kyle continues as he takes his baseball bat off his shoulder and walks up to a building. Kyle looked at the door and tried to open it but it was locked "might wanna stand back," Kyle says as Elanor steps back followed by Kyle also taking a step back before he got his bat ready and swing it at the door making the glass door to the building crumble.

Elanor and Kyle walked in the building over the shatter glass. The building was a shoe store, Kyle planed to get Elanor better shoes since she was wearing normal sneakers and she would probably need to get better foot wear like steel-toed boots so she can kick better once Kyle gets Elanor back on her feet. Kyle walked over to the boots and started to look at them and tried to figure out if they would fit Elanor. Elanor then walked beside Kyle and picked up a pare of black and grey steel-toe sneakers, Kyle looked at Elanor "you want those?" Kyle asked as he put the shoe he was holding down. Elanor looked at the sneakers and then nodded "yea." Elanor then took her shoes off and put on the sneakers on and made sure they were the right size before taking her shoes and putting them in her bag. Once Elanor got used to the shoes her and Kyle walked out of the shoe store and continued to walk down the road still being cautious incase there were any monsters roaming around outside.

After an hour or so of walking there were another few apartments next to each other, Kyle walked inside since the doors weren't locked this time and walked around looking for anything of use, Elanor walked around trying to find a staircase to get upstairs or an elevator to make sure it was still working. Elanor found the staircase after a few minutes and found the elevator not far from it. Elanor walked into the elevator and pressed the button to go to the first floor and then waited, the elevator started to move as it slowly moved up. Not long after, the elevator stopped but the doors didn't open. Elanor tried to open them but failed and eventually tried to find a different way out, she looked around for a little bit before seeing a vent above her head and got an idea. Elanor then jumped up for a second unable to reach the vent so instead she takes out one of her extra pairs of shoes and throws it at the vent opining the vent enough for her to be able to jump up and grab onto it to pull herself up. Once she's out of the elevator she looks to her side and notices an emergency ladder next to her on the wall. Elanor starts to climb up it while making sure she doesn't fall down or slip.

Meanwhile, With Kyle. He was looking around in the main lobby to try and see if there were any lurking monsters or maybe another person but couldn't find anything, he kept wandering until he eventually found the elevator Elanor went up and noticed that there was a loud clanging noise from inside and thought that was bad. he ran to the stairs and ran up them getting to the 2nd floor since the noise didn't seem to come from to far up. Kyle ran to the elevator doors and forced them open with a crowbar before looking down cautiously making sure not to fall, Kyle saw Elanor on top of the elevator and starting to climb up the ladder on the side. Kyle was relieved that Elanor was ok but was concerned since usually nothing malfunctions in the realm unless it was trapped like that. Kyle looked around on the 2nd floor and noticed it was a hotel so it was possible there could be another person or group of people in the building.

After a good 4 minutes Elanor was able to get up the ladder and on the 2nd floor without falling or slipping, Kyle checked if she was ok and then told her that someone else could be in the building, Kyle started walking around the 2nd floor looking in all the rooms to see if he could find any one in the other rooms. The building was about 5 story's tall and had about 21 rooms on each floor. After about an hour and a half maybe 2 hours, they got to the 5th floor and started looking in the rooms, on the 9th room on that floor they found a well kept house that seemed to be brand-new unlike the other rooms that seemed dusty. Elanor and Kyle looked around in the house cautiously and walked over to the first room and pushed the door open seeing a small boy on a bed.

Sorry this took so long to get out! I really wanted to get this out faster but my brain wasn't working with me over the time i was making it but luckily my mind is working again and i will be posting more often hopefully! thanks for reading again and hope you enjoy the future chapters!
