Sage 's POV

"Sage, honey are you sure you want to get a mortal education? Love, it might be risky, we also have enemies, and that too without any bodyguards or security and live like what? A normal person? Honey, you have a royal bloodline how can we ever be normal? I have tried to be normal once, and so has your Father but you know how it turned out right? Dear, I will support you but I am just worried." my stepmother shared her concerns with me.

Yes, my 'Stepmother' isn't cruel and I don't have any cruel sisters like in fairytales or fae history because my stepmother and father couldn't give birth.

I knew she meant my good but I just wanted to .. no WANT TO explore this huge world other than being locked up in the safety of my parents though I have been given free will, I never did anything against my parents or for that matter my family, but I did not let anyone .. and when I say ANYONE who tried to control me even once other than my family lets just say they did not have a great, bright and carefree future.

"Huh .. I know mother, but I really want to explore the world mother. I know how it had been in the past but I will not let my gaurd down. I promise." I assured my mother.

I mean I had to. After my so called " biological mother " left me and my father stranded just because we were fae and she had already found a proper gentleman. Anyways, I was literally a year old when my fae ears came out and then she left him, but my stepmother aka my father's bestfriend confessed her feelings towards him after his heartbreak and supported him in every step like the rest of my family.

One thing my biological mother did not know was if she messed with anyone of the Moonknights she gets on the blacklist.

"Ok then, since I agreed to this you have to promise me one thing" I raised my eyebrows at this statement of hers. Of all my 10 years with her she has never once stated a condition. So what is it now?

"Go ahead mother." I encouraged for I too was very curious about this condition.

"No. I will state this in front of everyone during dinner. Now I am done packing up. We will go shopping tomorrow and also get a fake name, liscence, passport and also enroll you to the school and come home. Now lets go for dinner I am sure the curiosity is eating you out." Saying this she sighed in defeat and saddness and straightened herself leaving a questioning and curios me behind. She knew me well, I thought with a big grin on my face.

I got up as soon as she left, and went to the bathroom to freshen up. I came out wearing a oversized grey sweatshirt and some black trousers and went out to have my dinner in the main dining area. I had my hair up in a messy bun. As i entered I saw my grandparents at their place, my mother in front of my grandmother and my father in front of my grandfather. My cousin sister beside my grandmother, and her father beside her, a place left for me beside my mother and then my aunt on the other side of the empty seat. All of them were laughing at some joke.

As I enter and come near my seat I clear my throat and ask what had made them laugh their heads of, with a small sarcastice smile and then pouted. At this they started lauging harder and by then my patience and playfulness was gone and I frowned.

My sister from in front of me said that she was mimicking me. At this I was clearly shocked. She was the perfect well mannered Princess Maryene or Miss Perfect would never do that.. I guess first times for everything.

"Oh Mother, my curiosity is eating me. Please do tell me what you were going to say over dinner when everybody was there." I said in a whining tone to show her it clearly had.

"Okaaay .. but .. I don't want you to freakout or get mad but hear me properly." I sigh when she said in that tone. Whatever it was it wasn't good.

I replied with a plain blank fine. "You do know the Prince Of Nevermore, Prince Christian ? Well -" I cut her off and said "You did not set me up for marriage with him, did you?" I widened my eyes while asking her.
