' Dharti dhora ri,
Aa to surgaam na sarmaave,
Ee par Dev raman ne aave,
Ee ro jas nar naari gave,
Dharti dhora ri'( The land of sand dunes,
Come, I will not enter the tunnel.
The God raman has arrived,
Cry like men and women sing.
The land of sand dunes)The song was being sung by an old man in his early 50s, in the glory of the land which has bestowed upon him his life.
Suraj Kan Kan ne chamkaave,
Chando imrat ras barsaave,
Tara nichraaval kar jyaave,
Dharti dhora ri!(The sun shines every bit,
Moon showers nectar,
The stars will be free from tears,
Oh the land of sand dunes!)This is one of the nights, where yet again, the prince of the kingdom found himself around the bonfire disguising as a commoner.
He looked at the man carefully, who closed his eyes as he was singing and playing the dafli in his hands.
He found himself drowning more and more into the emotions the man was instilling by his melodious voice which held such a deep connection to the land.
As the song reached it's ending he saw the tears slowly flowing from his closed eyes.
Oh, what a man he was! Such faith and love towards the land.
He certainly wanted to have a talk with the man after everyone left.
