Chapter 1
From the start
You could say my life was ordinary. Peaceful even. I had normal hobbies and interests, liked the same popular groups and bands as other girls my age and got along well with my classmates. My grades were normal, not too high or low. Average ; I was satisfied with this life of mine, I grew up happy, with loving family and friends.
Who knew that seven years later my whole world would come crumbling down, like a bad nightmare eating away at me bit by bit.
. . .
I sat in class, looking out the opened window, the wind softly blowing in. My focus on the lesson slowly evaporating as I daydreamed about nothing interesting.
"L/n, since you seem so focused on my lesson, why don't you answer the question I just asked" my teacher inquired sternly, her arms crossed, tapping her arm impatiently. "I don't have all day".
I abruptly perked up from my seat, sweating profusely. "uhmmm.a2 + b2 = c2?" I mumbled, scratching the nape of my neck , an awkward smile on my face. Giggles flooded the room a few people smiling at me.
"Good grief, we're in English" she shouted making me wince. I quickly apologised, before getting lectured for a few minutes.
'god, its not my fault her lessons are so boring'
After a few more dragging minutes of torture, the lunch bell had gone, signalising the end of class and the start of lunch. After the teacher left, everyone started packing away, a few of my classmates making there way to my desk, bright smiles on their faces.
"Good job there L/n-san" one of them chucked sarcastically.
"a2 + b2 = c2" someone giggled.
I huffed, crossing my arms. "Its not my fault her lessons are so boring, I almost dozed off" I whined playfully. "I hate her so much"
" that is kind of true, her lessons are pretty boring" one of them chimed in.
"Yeah I guess so but how did you forget what lesson you were in?"
Authors POV
"L/n-san you're such an airhead" someone stated. You joked around a little with your classmates, before a few had to go to the cafeteria and meet their friends.
You didn't look back at the piercing eyes staring at you from the other side of the classroom, as if peeking into your soul. You felt a shiver run down your spine, but you brushed if off quite quickly, thinking that maybe you were overthinking.
You left the classroom with your two best friends, not once looking back at the person still at their desk.
Which classmate was it? Were they looking at you or not? You didn't know. You stopped walking, just staring into god knows where.
