Lia's POV
Ringing the door bell of the home that I was standing in front of just eight hours ago to wish my darling but for a different reason again, surely made me feel too damn nervous and worried.
I had got an early call while finishing up the last minute touches for decorations by her telling me that her parents wanted to meet me today and seeing her birthday was the best day Leona invited me over to their home.
So here I am with my satin plain frock which fell just below my knees in little waves with it's sleeves covering just below my elbows and my burgundy waves falling over my back as tiny stone clips pinned few of my hair strands by my ears prettily yet kept low-key to not outshine my girl friend's beauty.
It is her day. She must enjoy it in the highest prime.
Obviously with a bouquet of flowers. Giving and sharing flowers is one of my silent ways of expressing my inner thoughts, feelings and emotions.
Hence, the white Jasmine bunch is sitting tenderly in my hands being wrapped with a transparent cover.
"You must be Lia Pearl?" A soft voice similar to my mother's broke me out of my trail of thought.
I looked up from the flowers to see Leona's mother standing with a warm smile staring at me.
"Yeah. That's me. Hello Mrs. Florence." I smiled back at her before being welcomed into the home.
No wonder darling says her home is too huge for five people.
The living room in itself was huge. Huge enough just like my big hotel room space.
My eyes took in the arrangements of the place before landing on the people sitting on the sofa settled in the left corner of the living room by the coffee table opposite to the right end where the huge smart LED was fixed on the wall.
Next to me Mrs. Florance nudged my arm to encourage my slightly nervous form to greet the family as I nodded.
"Hi" Was that awkward? Must be super awkward.
I stood there not knowing where to look at or how to continue as three pairs of eyes landed on me in thoughts.
Oh shit! I made eye contact with her youngest brother.
I looked away quickly when I heard low whispers before Leona's mother stepped in to save my ....

"Stop with those stares. It's bad manners to not greet back boys." With those words I saw from the corner of my eyes, to catch Mrs. Florance glaring down her husband in silent order to greet me.
You should not laugh Li! I tried. I really did. But the little smile broke out despite my efforts.
"Sorry for that. Please do sit down Lia, I'll get something to eat for all of us." I smiled politely to Mrs. Florance words before taking a seat opposite to the one where the trio was sitting.
"Make yourself comfortable Lia. Sorry for not greeting properly." I heard Mr. Florance say before I shook my head with a small smile in assurance to not worry about that.
"So you are my sister's girlfriend?" Lucas questioned as the youngest of us all wss staring at me with a scrutinizing gaze.
Lauran surely had the most expressive face and eyes akin to my darling.
"Yeah. I am Leona's girlfriend." A full smile took over my face as my ears registered my own words.
"You are so beautiful!" Including Mr. Florence we all were startled at Lauran's sudden exclamation as he smiled sheepishly.
