9. Anklets

~YASHIKA'S POV

Its been 1 month and we are on good terms now. We use to spend some time together. Our married life was going great.

It was almost evening. He just came from office and threw himself on the couch. He was looking very tired. I gave him a glass of water and went to cook dinner for both of us.

Suddenly I felt two arms around my waist. Rehaan back hugged me and snuggled his face in the crook of my neck. I was about to turn but he tightened his hold.

"Don't move, please." He said snuggling more in my neck.

We stayed in that position for few minutes in silence.

"Are you okay?" I asked him.

He hummed in response as if he don't want to say anything. I told him to go and freshen up and he went away placing a kiss on my ear.

He came out after taking bath and sat on the dinning table's chair. I served food for both of us and joined him. We finished our food while talking about random things, i did the dishes and went to our room. He was already in the room, laying on the bed, waiting for me maybe.

I laid on the bed beside him and he turned towards me. He was just looking at me. I muttered a little 'what'. he came a little closer to me and placed a wet kiss on my lips.

I widened my eyes slightly. he came more closer and placed his one hand on my waist. placed another kiss on my nose. A huge smile appeared on my face. He hugged me. I rested my head on his chest and hugged him back.

"I don't wanna loose you, yashii." He said playing with my hair strands.

I just raised my head to look at him.

"I'll never leave you." I said again resting my head on his chest.

We both stayed like that, hugging each other in silence. After few minutes, he broke the hug and stood up from the bed. I was just looking at him in confusion. He went towards the couch and picked his coat. He took something out from his coat's pocket and turned. He looked at me and told me to close my eyes. I did as he said. suddenly i felt his hands on my feets.

"Open your eyes now." His voice came. I opened my eyes and saw payals (anklets) in my feet. I looked at him while smiling and he was already smiling looking at me.

"Thankyou so much." I said smiling.

"Only thankyou?" He complained raising his one eyebrow.

"Haa......thankyou babe." I said and he looked at me after realizing that i just called him 'babe'.

A huge smile appeared on his face and he leaned closer to kiss me but i leaned back not allowing him to kiss me in a teasing way. He took it as an opportunity and started tickling me. He know i can't handle tickling. I started laughing loudly. I told him to stop between my laugh but he didn't stopped.

I was throwing my legs in air while laughing because it is my habit and I mistakenly kicked on his stomach. A groan left from his mouth. He stopped tickling me and throwed himself on the bed beside me.

I quickly got up and asked him if he is okay. He didn't replied so i leaned a little and again asked him if he is okay.

Suddenly he pulled me and i fell directly on his chest. I was about to get up but he again pulled me and hugged me.. After this i didn't even tried to move because i know that he will again pull me.

"Rehaan, let me lay on the bed comfortably." I said and he loosened his grip. I stood up and laid beside him. He came closer and hugged me. I rested my head on his chest.

I was looking at the anklets and he asked me what am i thinking about.

"These anklets...these are looking very expensive." I said raising my head to look at him.

He placed his hands on my head and said," It doesn't matter."

"It does matter, Rehaan." I said and rested my head on the pillow instead of his chest.

"Yashii, if its about you then money doesn't matter to me." He said turning towards me.

"Thankyou so much, Rehaan." I said placing my one hand on his cheek, kissing on his forehead.

"For what?" He asked holding my hand.

"For everything." I said while smiling.

He smiled back and placed a kiss on my forehead and knuckles of my hands.

We started talking about random things and soon we slept.

In morning, he went to office little early because he had an important business meeting with a new business partner.

I slept after he went to his office and woke up in afternoon. Sharda aunty, our maid is not well from last one and half month so Rehaan told her to take care of herself and even paid for her treatment. Currently she is not allowed to work. So now i made breakfast, lunch and dinner and im happy as i can do this for him and aunty is old enough so she should also rest.

I woke up in afternoon and texted him, asking how his meeting went but he didn't replied. I thought he should be busy so i started working on the laptop.

After few hours i realized its almost evening so i called him to ask what he wants to eat for dinner. He picked the call and told me that he's having dinner with his new business partner and his meeting went well. he told me to eat and sleep and don't wait for him. I hummed in response and hung up the call.

I was not that much hungry so i made Maggie and ate that while working.

After finishing my work i realized its almost midnight and he still didn't came back. I called him but he didn't answered the call. I sat on the couch in the living room, waiting for him. After few minutes i heard the doorbell and quickly opened the gate. I saw him standing in front of the door, his eyes were red.

Is he drunk again?

He came inside and throwed himself on the couch. i gave him a glass of water to drink. he drank it and placed the glass on the table.

"Are you drunk?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest.

"Nhii yaar." He said and made me sit beside him.

"I'm not drunk babe." He said. I raised my eyebrows looking at him.

"I just drank little wine, but i'm not that much drunk." He claimed pouting his lips.

"ok...go and freshen up now." I told him and he went away.

I also went to our room and laid on the bed. He came out after taking shower and directly laid on the bed beside me. He was very tired and also drunk. I got up from the bed, turned off the lights and again laid on the bed beside him and slept.
