My phone went off with the alarm clock I set yesterday, another day, yet another workday.

I work at a bar where comedians can show off their talents on a stage, sometimes they are funny and sometimes they are not.

I like my job even though it's a bit boring sometimes, I take orders and serves drinks to the audiance, which means that I walk around when the show is going on, I must be quiet and make sure I don't stand in the way of anyone who's trying to watch what's going on, on stage.

Sometimes it gets late, and my shifts goes from evening to night shifts, just like yesterday, that's why my alarm went off at one pm, I slept all that I could until I decided to go to my regularly gym to get even more fit than I already am.

But first something nice to eat, today it was Greek yogurt with honey, vanilla protein powder and strawberries. Then I made myself a bottle of ice water and took off.

As I was working out I got a text from my boss.

Hey Y/n,

Sorry to inform you that you are going to have yet another late-night shift,

we are so lucky to have a sold out show with Matt Rife tonight,

and since you are our best server, I would love for you to meet in an hour before the show until we close off.

I have to leave before you are going to meet in tonight so you will have the head service, it will help you with your promotion.
This means that you are not going to meet as usual at your normal evening/dinner shift, but you will meet at 9 pm.

I hope you are okay with this, I tried to make sure that you won't have an as long shift as yesterday.

Oh well, another late-night shift, but that pays the best, and I love that my boss made me meet in later today. She's very nice. I am getting promoted soon too, she wants me to be the head server, to make sure everything gets done correctly.

Matt Rife, who even is that? Meh I don't really feel the need to look him up, he's probably just another new upcoming comedian.

I just went on with my workout and had some downtime before work.

Later that day.

I walked into work and had a nice chat with everyone that was on the shift today, so we were completely sure where everyone were going to be at for the show.

"Alright everyone, tonight is sold out and it is going to be super busy, I want three bartenders in the bar at all times, I want the rest out on the floor for service, I will also be out on the floor tonight to help out, if it gets too hectic in the bar two can help the bartenders alright?" I said and everyone agreed.

"Good, I want Maria and Lucas to be the servers at the VIP tonight for the comedian, let's have a great night tonight alright?"

They all agreed again and smiled, they walked off to their spots and began to set up everything.

People started to get there and started to head for their seats. Holy, I've never seen our place this filed up before, this is going to be the busiest it's ever been.
