Taylor's world had changed dramatically in last 7 years. She was married to the love of her life, a man who had given her everything she had longed for her whole life – partnership, support, unconditional love, inspiration, a family. That family now consisted of 3 amazing boys she had given birth to over the last years. The gossips had made their assumptions and criticisms of her and Travis' rapidly expanding family but fuck them. Her boys were her life now – sure she made music, wrote songs for others, collaborated on a recording occasionally, but it always came with the caveat that she would fit whatever it was between family time. Travis had retired 3 years before and was dabbling in coaching, broadcasting, and some acting.... He was 100% focused on his burgeoning new family. Both he and Taylor agreed to plan projects around family time, which took up most of their collective time. But they were blessed to not have to worry about declining an offer.
Taylor finished cooking dinner in their Kansas City home. They chose to stay in Kansas City most of the time to give their boys a sense of normalcy. The other properties they retained there were mostly for investment now rather than actual living, but they would use them when needed. Wherever they might be, Taylor knew when the boys said they wanted to go home, she knew they meant Kansas City. They had bought a "family vacation" home in the Bahamas for the entire family to enjoy. Travis and Taylor were convinced at least 2 of the boys were conceived there, so it had a magical aura about it they loved. As the boys got older, they loved it even more.
The thought of that magical place brought a sly smile to Taylor as she stood at the kitchen counter. Travis was at the other side of the counter looking at his phone, facing Taylor. He noticed her smile and chuckled softly to himself. The sound caught Taylor's attention and they made eye contact across the counter, Travis winked at her – causing them both to smile wider. Both were thinking about the "sexy Mommy & Daddy time" they had just last night. Taylor raised an eyebrow at him and then raised her wine glass to silently salute her lover, husband, and father of all her beautiful children.
And beautiful they were.... Taylor thought. She thought about her oldest, Jacob Edward Kelce, he was a spitting image of his father. He had light brown hair, hazel eyes, and was taller & larger than most 6-yr old boys. The only thing of Taylor's that Jacob physically had was her smile. And smile a lot he did...he was effervescent and joyful about almost everything – accept green peas, he didn't like those. Her next oldest 5-year-old Alexander Scott Kelce, he looked more like the Swift side of the family – a mix of her bother Austin and Taylor – with just a hint of that Kelce jawline and Travis' hazel eyes and sandy blonde hair. He was more temperamental, liked things a certain way – definitely had Taylor's drive for perfection. His frustration at not doing something right made it hard for him to try new things. But Travis, ever the giddy father, would encourage and work with Alex until he found his joy in the activity. The youngest, 3-year-old, Michael Xavier Kelce, was a mix of all the families, however he had Taylor's beautiful crystal blue eyes. When he was born, they had thought he would again have Travis' eyes too, but within 2 months those baby blues made an appearance Michael used those eyes to work his way into everyone's heart. Michael was a curious soul and tended to wander off as he chased down something that had caught his eye. He had wandered off several times from his family at events already, which gave his parent's heart attacks when they realized what had happened. The last situation was an NFL event they attended, and Michael had wandered off into the practice field going after one of the 100s of balls laying there. Luckily, he was scooped up into the arms of Miles Teller who saw him wandering off as Taylor and Travis chatted with an interviewer with their sons Jacob and Alex and brought him back to his parents. The media had a field day with that one, Taylor thought as she made plates for each of the boys.
"Can you go tell the boys dinner is ready?" Taylor asked Travis. He nodded and walked to the French doors to the large back yard where he knew the boys had been playing on the large play ground set. Travis noticed all the toys, sports equipment, and just crap everywhere back there. Travis sighed, knowing the boys had not listened to what he had told them a few days ago about cleaning up after themselves.
