Class was dismissed. I was super hungry. I told Joshua and Kayman to meet Kianna and I immediately at McDonalds after class. Yes, McDonalds. I'm on a budget.

Dang. My library fee.

I sped to the library.

"Chelle, come on now."

This library sends me little notes every week telling me I owe them money. This time, I have to pay.  She can wait.

"Patience young grasshopper."

"I'm about to leave you. We've been waiting here for over five minutes, just to pay a library fee?"

"Was it really 5 minutes already?" I replied sarcastically.

"Thank you so much for your patience." The librarian remarked and handed me my receipt.

"Yeah, yeah. See you later!" I fumbled out of the doors. I rolled my eyes and threw the receipt into the nearest trashcan. I get extremely grouchy when I'm hungry. I wasted five minutes of my lunch time messing with this librarian. I was pissed. I plopped down into my seat and started the car.

"Seatbelt."

"Bruh, it's right up the stree-"

"Put ON  the SEATBELT."

Kianna yanked the seatbelt across her chest screaming, "It's around the corner!"

"Anything can happen while we go around the corner. Safety first!" I sped off.

We pulled up in the McDonalds lot looking for any sign of Joshua's car. Nothing.

"McDonalds is a hop, skip, and jump away from our school. I managed to turn in this doggone library fee, get a drip drop of water, yell at you, and they still aren't he-"

"Baby, won't you come my waaaaaaayyyy, got something I want to sayyyyyy" is all I heard Kayman screaming as him and Josh pulled into the parking lot. They are so extra.

"Took ya'll long enough!" I exclaimed. Never.on.time. We all hopped out of our cars and greeted each other as we walked into the restaurant.

"Yeah, give me a Big Mac Combo, fresh fries, and a Coke." My favorite.

We sat down in a booth with our food and Joshua immediately started talking.

"Senior Year is almost over guys!" Finally. I've been waiting for senior year to be over even before it started.

"I think we all realized that, Josh." Kianna stated, while taking a big bite of her sandwhich.

He scrunched his face. "'scuse me then!" he smiled and started drinking his drink.

To break the silence that had brewed at our booth, I sparked up something to speak upon.

"Guys, I still don't know what I wanna do after high school. As far as careers go."

"Go to a community college to become a tap dancer or something!" Kayman chuckled. He thinks this is a joke.

"How about you go to Julliard and become a ballerina or something? Since you tryna be funny." I said and popped a couple fries into my mouth. Kianna and Joshua snickered.

"Shut up, nickelbrain." Kayman snapped.
