MATTS POV:

I walked through the forest, looking for one specific spot. I looked up through the tree branches, spots of light shining through them. The forest was A oddly comforting place. I always came here after school, or when i needed space. I loved practicing construction magic here, and climbing the trees.

I stopped at the spot i had been looking for. A large willow tree in a more closed off area.

I set my bag on a rock and messed with some new spells. I ended up humming a song but i could barely remember the words. I knew the tune though.

I snapped out of my thoughts when i heard a twig snap. I glanced around confused almost dropping a rock on my foot.

I saw someone, someone i knew pretty well for some odd reason.

"Augustus?" I questioned and turned to face him confused.

"Uh.. hi Matty!" Gus said this and smiled awkwardly. "I didn't know you came here?" Gus said this calmly and looked at me confused.

"Dont call me that." I mumbled this and glared at him slightly. "But yeah.. i come here all the time? Why are you here?" I looked at him, my expression shifting back to confusion.

"I come here all the time two?" Agustus siad this and gave me and equally confused expression.

"Oh.." i mumbled this and glanced around slightly, this got awkward quickly..

Soon we both parted ways, or well Agustus randomly disappeared.

(5:34pm)

GUS'S POV:

"That was odd, i had never seen matty in the forest before and i went all the time?" I thought this outloud.

I had been talking to myself while walking home cause i was bored. I soon reached home and opened the front door to be greeted with the smell of dinner.
I glanced over at the kitchen while setting my bag on the floor and taking my shoes off.

"I made eyeballs and spaghetti for you." My dad said this calmly and glanced at me smiling.

"Thanks dad." I siad this calmly and smiled back at him, soon enough we were both sat at the dining table eating. I loved my dad's cooking it was perfect in every way.

I talked to my dad for a while, and helped with the dishes before heading upstairs to my room. I changed out of my uniform and just laid on my bed looking at the ceiling. 

All i could think about was matty.

"Why wont you get off my mind.." i mumbled this out loud and groaned covering my eyes with my hands.

After a few moments i heard my scroll buzz, I summoned it thinking it might be willow or Luz. To my surprise it was Matty?

Mattholomule: Hey, sorry for randomly texting you, you were on my recommended friends list-

I read the text to myself a few times, why would i be on his recommended we have nothing in common?

Gus: Heya matty!! Its okay dont worry!!

Mattholomule: dont call me that

Gus: okay matty

I grinned at the texts and without even realizing ended up texting matty for the next hour and a half.

Eventually we both got tired and went to bed, it was nice talking to him.. turns out we have a little more in common than i thought..
