In the bustling crowd of the charity gala, Gwen pulled her disguise tighter, determined to avoid any unwanted attention. She nervously glanced around, her heart pounding with anticipation. Disguised in a simple hoodie and a pair of sunglasses, she hoped to go unnoticed amidst the regular patrons. But just as she was beginning to relax into her anonymity, a familiar voice shattered her illusion of invisibility.

"Excuse me, do you mind if I sit here?"

Gwen's blood ran cold as she looked up to see none other than Luster, the notorious actor whose mere mention made her blood boil. Except tonight, he wasn't the impeccably groomed heartthrob she despised – he was just an ordinary guy in jeans and a baseball cap, his face obscured from view. Gwen's jaw clenched as she struggled to maintain her composure. She had never expected to encounter Luster here, let alone in disguise.

"I...I guess not," she muttered, her voice strained with disdain.

Luster flashed her a charming smile as he took the seat across from her, his eyes glinting with mischief.

"Thanks," he said casually, his tone irritatingly nonchalant.

Gwen's pulse raced as she fought to suppress the surge of anger bubbling within her.

"Well, what are you doing here?"

His smirk was infuriatingly smug as he looked her up and down, clearly relishing her discomfort.

"Fancy meeting you here, Gwen," he drawled, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

Gwen clenched her jaw, her fists trembling with barely suppressed rage. This encounter was the last thing she needed. She forced a tight smile, masking her seething anger.

"Just trying to do some good for a change," she retorted, her voice laced with venom.

Luster raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed by her facade. "Sure, sure," he said dismissively, his eyes gleaming with amusement.

"But we both know you're not fooling anyone with that disguise."

Gwen's cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she realized her attempt to go incognito had failed miserably. But before she could come up with a retort, Luster leaned in closer, his voice low and dangerous.

"You know, Gwen," he murmured, his breath sending shivers down her spine, "despite everything, I can't help but admire your tenacity."

Gwen's eyes narrowed, her pulse quickening with a mix of fury and something she refused to acknowledge.

"Save it, Luster," she snapped, pushing past him with a force that surprised them both. She couldn't believe she'd let herself get caught off guard by Luster of all people.

Despite her attempts to push the encounter with Luster to the back of her mind, Gwen found herself replaying their conversation over and over again.
