When I was just 16, I got selected to college. I simply skipped my advanced examinations and replaced it with a one-year diploma. I completed my degree within 3 years and currently I am working as a temporary lecturer at the same university. It is not typical that the university hires alumni. Maybe I was an exception.
Now the stairs have become a long walk to the living room. I just wanna avoid these people but then again, I can't worry papa.
"Hi papa! When did you come back?" I smiled at him.
"Just a little while ago sweety"
I can feel Harosh's eyes staring at me as I entered and sat behind papa to avoid them as much as I can.
"Mr. Mel, actually I saw Mithu when she was just 18 and I've been liking her since. But if you don't like this, I can't force this proposal either." He says turning to papa again.
WHAT?!!?! He has liked me since I was 18? Such a blubber (pfft). He came to LLSB two weeks ago and how can he like me since I was 18? Look at that confidence he had while blabbering. Likewise, for him to see me when I was18 and get struck by "love at first sight" he should have the sixth sense. AND he is wearing red. Red??? This will be my number one reason to reject him. I can tolerate light red but that red he is wearing is instant puke.

"I see son, but there are ways, and we should know what Mithu has in her mind"?
That's my papa. This is why I love him. See for mom, this stranger became a good son with a decent background only because he is rich. But papa, of course he thinks about me.
"Mr. Mel I would really like to talk with Mithu a bit, if it's, okay?"
I noticed a slight grin on Mrs. Kumaran's face. As if his son asked to kidnap me and eat my flesh raw. Maybe that's what he is planning to do because after all who would come ask permission from parents for dating before going through it with the girl. I mean this is the 21st century.

Papa took a quick glance at me to reassure but before I could even react,
"Why not son, she would love to."
MOM. Come on.... I don't wanna talk to this fairy tale mama's boy.

I gave an irritated glance at mom and stood up. So did Harosh and he started walking towards me. Bruh, I might not like his gut for coming up and making a stupid scene in front of my parents, but his outward personality and sculptured figure can make any girl beg on their knees.
"Hi again."
"Hi"
"Can we go somewhere so that we could talk more personally." He whispered.
"Yes Harosh"
I didn't whisper him back because going out to somewhere is not a crime and also
ask me why I keep on repeating his name? His name is so cool, the pronunciation and all. I can't get over it. I never knew his first name when calling or mentioning him anywhere. I usually used his surname, "Mr. Kumaran".
I headed towards the front yard, and he followed me. I can feel his eyes burning towards me.
I felt a sudden grab on my hand. I turned around to see him smiling. This is the second time now.
"What's so funny?"
"No, you are pretty."
He is a mama's boy, a mama's boy, my brain started repeating.
"Uhm, can you let go of my hand please?"
"Sure, but only for now"
"Oh Mr. Kumaran don't ry so hard; I don't like you anyway."
He again gave away that funny, irritating smirk.
"You will, because that will be the only choice you'll be left with." He replied calmly with an intimating core voice.
"What?!"
Now that even sounds like a threat Mr. Haroshjith Kumaran.... Or whatever

"I've been waiting for a while now Mithu."
"Yeah not creepy at all.... And that's the reason why you play god son in front of my parents huh."
"God son?"
He started laughing and then stared into my eyes. I awkwardly looked down desperately wanting to cut down the staring contest.
"Look maybe you are really desperate for me, but I have goals I will never give up on. I'm sorry Harosh I really am."
"I knew you'll reject me."
"If you knew then why did you-."
"I am here to ask you something, are you in a relationship?"
Mr. Kumaran you might be rich and handsome but if I say yes and come up with a small play using the help of one of my friends, you'll definitely be hopeless. But...
"No"
"Have you ever been in a one?"
"no"
"Why?"
Why? Is that even a question.
"Because I never wanted to start a one. Are you done with your stupid personal questions?"
He ran his hand around my waist and pulled me towards him. I started struggling and shaking.
"Leave me be!" I commanded.
"I will give you 3 months to get to know me."
"I don't need no time you perv."
"Cute" he said and unhanded my waist.
"You got good shape. You are even sexier than you look." he whispered into my ear.
"Excuse me." What a perv?! And you think I will like you??? It would never happen, mama's boy.
He started heading back home with that annoying smirk on his face. Urgh such a menace. I hate him already. I also started heading back and took a while to check on my appearance before going in. Shit my face! All red, I was blushing. Uhhh maybe that was the reason he was smirking. When did I even blush? No... was I excited when he grabbed my waist and stared right into the core of my soul. Was I?
Sigh...
