ℒeyra was a mess of chaos and imperfections, a girl who longed for freedom and recognition in a clan who only viewed her as a warrior's nightmare of a daughter. In a home where she is resented by her disappointed father, she carries the weight of being the carer of both an ill mother and a brother on the brink of adolescence. And as responsibility bruises her shoulders, all she wants is to get a taste of freedom that she had once been drowning in一but that had been many years ago, before she was chained to her village where her responsibilities become heavier.
An escape seems imposible一until another responsibility is thrown her way.

While he looked every bit like her brothers and sisters, he was anything but一he was a demon walking amongst them all, who wanted to learn and become one of them. Leyra knows better. But he's trouble, and with him Leyra begins to feel more like that girl she had thought she had lost long ago.
