Chapter 1: New beginnings

Grimace x Adam driver x shrek

"Well maybe I just want 𝘶𝘴 to work!" Shrek yelled. Though it was coming from a place of love, it was enough to send grimace over the edge.

Grimace storms out the door, slamming it just behind him. All he could think about was the argument with Shrek. Maybe if Shrek hadn't- ...no. Not this time, Grimace thought. Maybe it was time to take accountability?

Grimace sat there silently, his purple eyes glistening in the light as he gazed off into the distance. The park bench is uncomfortable and the sound of the birds chirping was enough to make him want to get up and leave. But something kept him there.

A small tap on his shoulder was all it took for grimace to jump slightly, snapped out of the trance he was in.

"Hey... Uh, mind if I take a seat?"
Grimace hears a masculine voice ask from behind him. Grimace nods as the man sits down next to him, slightly confused as to why this unknown man chose to sit next to him, out of all the benches in the park. He looks over at the man, and is stunned by his beauty. His face is oval-shaped and small, his hair midnight black and parted to the side. He looked slightly emo, though grimace liked that.
"What's your name?" Asks the unknown man, his smooth voice breaking the trance grimace was in.

"Oh... It's Grimace. And you?" Grimace replies nonchalantly, though he was anything but that. The unknown man's eyes were captivating to say the least, they were a rich hazel brown with hints of green, and god, were they beautiful.

"I'm Adam. Adam Driver. It's nice to meet you." Adam replies, his hazel eyes twinkling in the light.
Grimace couldn't help but smile softly, a small blush creeping up on his purple cheeks.

"Adam... I like that." Grimace mumbles, more to himself than anyone else. He quickly glances away, realising his gaze had been on Adam for much too long. There was something about him, something pulling him in... No. Nope. Grimace shakes his head, trying to rid himself of these thoughts. He didn't even know the man, for god's sake! Though he couldn't help but admit that Adam had a certain charm about him.
